Re: Restoration of my 1971 911T Targa

Hi all, I am seeking a 1970-1973 RHD front wiper motor and a same year RHD Airbox. I have posted a want to buy in the classified section.
If anyone has either of these in usable or restorable condition, please let me know. I am in the UK next week so could pick up if convenient.

Cheers, Neil

The gaps on my car are looking fantastic :bounce: https://i.ibb.co/TgpSKSC/20240318-102022.jpg The car is going to be partially built up in 4 weeks' time and then will be in final paint - this is just to ensure there are no needs for minor tweaks. I am getting very excited now  Neil

Re: Restoration of my 1971 911T Targa

I have been working on my seats whilst awaiting the delivery of the covers, carpets (etc.) from Lakewell. I had to de-rust the seat bases and, once I had removed the larger parts of rust and debris, used Evaporust - awesome stuff! https://i.ibb.co/qCZp3xk/20240311-061924175-i-OS.jpg I rubbed down th...

Re: Restoration of my 1971 911T Targa

Some further pictures of work on/in the boot/bulkhead area. My car received a 'cut' from a much later car and Martin has been working hard at welding up holes, creating new holes, adding details where it was missing and making all changes that make the metalwork the same: A correct car: https://i.ib...

Re: Restoration of my 1971 911T Targa

Hi, just working through details of the front bulkhead/dashboard assembly of my car. As you may know my 1971 was provided with a 'cut' from a much later car (Carrera I think) which is similar but not identical. I now am working through correcting the differences. Some differences are simply the addi...

Re: Who sells correctly shaped horn grills for a 1971 911T Targa?

Well, I received a single Passenger side item from Porsche (my local Porsche parts dealer/supplier) the parts guy there was super helpful although it was rather expensive. Research and reaching out on here lead me to believe that it was either Porsche original or Auto Foreign Services who stated tha...
