917 wheels ? discuss

My friend has a pair of wheels he believes may be from a 917 - I am way out of my depth with identifying these, or putting a value on them, so would appreciate any information which may be of use. He is looking to sell them, but is not on the mercenary side of things- I think the first step is to id...

72 914 1700- cal; import , project ish £4995

72 914 that was in use until late last year (California, so not UK registered) I bought it with a view to building an outlaw style 914 - with a few nods towards a 916 - so it comes with a smooth targa top as well as the usual Textured one etc. I am now into a karmann ghia TC build so the 14 is unlov...

new 9 series rear screens -

My friend from the dark side (964 owners group,) is looking to have a run of non heated rear screens made - to satisfy a few 964 folk who are modifying their cars. He seems to think a run of 20 would be required, but wondered if there would be any interest from other areas of the air cooled Porsche ...

Re: 914 parts - rust free californian body cuts, lots of par

Please can interested parties phone me - I am not brilliant at replying to messages etc for a variety of reasons.. The people who have phoned have all purchased items and this seems to work better.

Also , if you are interested in something you can always throw me an offer.

914 parts - rust free californian body cuts, lots of parts

I have some nice rust free panels, body cuts and essentially a car in pieces. The images should give an idea of what is available, of course asking for a certain part may also be a good idea. Price wise I am just throwing it out there rather than listing individual prices. http://img.photobucket.com...

Re: Nice John Lucas article in Classic Porsche

John was the source for my 58A many moons ago - a car which I subsequentially sold, traced and bought back. (This car was then modified by T2d for a mutual friend as I built my Yellow coupe)

Re: Question on imports and VAT

Be aware that C+E are pretty savvy when it comes to realistic costs relating to imports. And whilst a suitable invoice and convincing story may save you a few quid, should they decide the deal seems fishy you could be in a whole world of pain. I was in a similar situation when importing a car a coup...

Re: Is this fair treatment from a fellow Ddk'er?

if a 964 tiptronic with a dodgy gearbox means anything to you, enjoy the payback  Well on the basis you bought a 964 tip from me and iirc asked me afterwards whether I'd had any gearbox problems, I presume you are referring to me there Steve. Do you have a complaint? Graham You knew I had a co...
