Re: 2 hood questions
The b hood has a more pronounced 'hump' from memory - I had a really good one kicking around but it went to PRS when I sold my Yellow car

Re: speedometer repair ?
I wont go into all the individual item specifics as they are of no real benefit - suffice to say I wouldn't trust Reap to look after a goldfish after the experience. I was told over 3 months ago that after consultation 'his guy in Holland' could calibrate my speedometer quicker than speedy cables an...

speedometer repair ?
If you want repeated lies, a complete lack of updates and a 3 month wait for NOTHING to be done despite assurances that it would take 10 days then use Reap -

Re: Duxford show
what a great turnout / my A took so long deciding what shoes to wear I took the samba out for the day instead (and there was the PCGB matter as well)
Bodes well for Hedingham this year if Duxford attendees can make it

no end of bother - even if you match fit it to your motor it will cause trouble.
they look cool - but that is where the plus points end.

Re: Insurance valuation
Whatever you feel it would cost to replace in as close as a like for like replacement. I would think a chat with the insurers may be worth while if the level is significantly higher than previously agreed. Saying that, if you use a company that has a lot of classic or Porsche experience they may eve...

Tyres, any all round good performing suggestions welcomed.
I know this gets covered pretty often, but my needs are a little different due to width restrictions on the rear of my swb 67. Further complicated by the addition of oil lines to a front mounted cooler, and a tweaked 3.0 motor. Looking for the best rear 'footprint' that works within the space restri...

Re: Clutch / Gearbox Issue
Have a look at the gear rod and shifter base bushings, and more specifically the contact areas between the shift rod coupling and the mechanism on the box - I had to pretty much re make this area when my early 914 decided that first gear and fifth were not necessary. Try and engage first gear (with ...

1970 Porsche 914 £5400
I have a very solid 914 which I Imported form California last year. I also have a VAT bill so its got to go :( The car is a 1970 , 1700cc retaining the original stock fuel injection set up, it runs well and is nice to drive for a 914. I was not intending to move it on, so I had the gearbox freshened...

356/ pre 66 Porsche @ Goodwood 03/08/14
Just got the go ahead for some reserved parking at the August Goodwood breakfast meet. "03 AUGUST – THOROUGHBRED SUNDAY Turning the clock back to the golden era of the Goodwood Motor Circuit, this is the big day for pre-1966 cars and bikes. Motoring nostalgia doesn’t get better than this "...
