123 Ignition
I've finally got round to having the 123 Distributor dropped into my 356. It really is excellent. The car is starting now on the turn without a lot of churning. The unit has a quality feel to it and is engraved with the car model and date of manufacture. So if you want to take the variables out from...

Re: Which Engine Oil?
JAZ used Valvoline VR-1 20w-50 when they serviced my 356. If PRS use it too, probably tells you all you need to know. You can spend a long time on 356 Registry reading about zinc content. Which I suppose (to a certain extent) is part of the reason people enjoy classic cars - the variables, the trial...

Re: Which Engine Oil?
I use Halfords Classic 20 / 50. Seems to have been fine for me.

Re: Spa Francorchamps - suggestions
There's not much in the way of shops / bars in Franchorchamps and the food at the track is pretty much just OK. Better than Donington Park in the late 80s, marginally. Best bet is the Pit Bar Restaurant - its a buffet with a confusing token system. The Ad Delhaize Spa on the N62 west of Spa itself i...

Re: Luftgekühlt - UK - 29 July 2018 - Tickets are Live!
I'm booked. A little bit of work to be done on the car in advance but hoping to be there.
Good to get something in the diary to focus the works.

Pretty sure its pronounced:

Re: 356B (T5) Help
Hi - Looks lovely. The PCA badge is a good sign. My B came off the line a few hundred after yours - assuming the chassis numbers are consecutive. Gantspeed are good - I had some work done there a long time back. Also recommend Steve at JAZ and every time I have spoken to PRS they have been more than...

Re: Le Mans Classic
Andy - If you're running a 6 volt system still take a spare 6 volt coil and condensers. Hopefully you won't need them but harder bits to come by if needs be.
Enjoy!

Re: Classic LeMans first timer tips?
The Porsche Centre was worth a trip too (subject to below), to the extent they had some nice examples lined up and we had a quick drink quite close to the track. I would say it wasn't particularly welcoming - suspect because they must have been tired of people trying to blag their way in for free dr...

Re: Classic LeMans first timer tips?
You'll have a great time. Went 2016 and it was hot. Some highlights - Drive down - Just incredible array of kit from Folkestone. Getting onto the Route Nationals for a bit is good. (If you can by-pass Rouen all the better. Seems to be the convergence of a load of Autoroutes.) - There's a bar in a co...

I didn't notice the saggy seat!
There's a bid history in the comments. Highlighted in yellow you have to scroll through though as the bids are not separated from the comments. It'll get interesting at 19.25 this evening.
10,000th lot on Bringatrailer so they've found something special.
