Bits n Pieces
I appreciate this is a bit of a noddy question and a google search would reveal a load of answers... At risk of the wrath... I wondered, does anybody have a preferred supplier for parts for pre-1973 911's in the UK. I always used Roger Bray / PRS for my 356 and very happy. Specifically I am looking ...

Re: Exif Data and Location
So... and sorry to ask a potentially basic question here... is the same Geodata available from a photo on Photobucket or would the programme strip it? I took a look and couldn't immediately see - though I wouldn't say my tech skills would allow me to do much more than admire the pretty pictures...

Re: 911t pricing
Pete - I have seen 3 US import 911Ts in the last few weeks in need of some / a lot of work. These are all in mainland Europe and priced in Euros. So worth factoring in the relative strength of the Pound at the moment. They are all trade too. So... The cars have seen, some brief thoughts and the pric...

Re: Numbers, numbers
So... by way of update... I saw the car yesterday and remain as confused by it as before, though the rational voice says the convert to the Sporto is what has happened in the past. The engine number was as reported, so the records seem to point in the Sporto direction. The vendor thought the numbers...

Re: Numbers, numbers
Graeme - Many thanks that is useful to know. I'd be really interested to know if the book you have has the same information on engine numbers (as the linked web page) or whether the engine number correspond with the series of the chassis number on the car...
Any help much appreciated!

Numbers, numbers
Hi all - any help much appreciated on this one... I'm hoping to expand the garage beyond the 356 and am looking at a 1970 911T. The vendor has told me it is a US import with matching numbers (although not in the original colour). He has provided the following information: Engine: 6106153 Chassis: 91...

On to the next "issue"...
Whilst enjoying a quick down the motorway - a big pop from under the bonnet and it turns out the battery (lead acid) exploded, which resulted in the following… Anybody any ideas why this might have happened…? Any thoughts much appreciated! http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk200/Kenyon0356/Attachme...

Re: The Perennial Parking Issue
Many thanks for the offer squirejo - sounds like the insurers would struggle to gripe at that. I'm going to tackle it head on and change insurers and keep the car close by… Cheers though.

Re: The Perennial Parking Issue
I think that's the way forward... I've seen a couple of lock-ups and they look damp and fairly unsecure in any event. Time to start phoning around...

The Perennial Parking Issue
So... Any help appreciated...!! I would like to bring my 356B to London (its currently stored with my folks in the country and very much under used) and use for a couple of months. On discussion with my insurance company they won't touch private underground parking anywhere in the city (CCTV / key f...
