Re: Stainless Exhaust

I’ve spoken with Rich and now just need to get organised and place an order. I fancy the single exit sports exhaust!

Re: Stainless Exhaust

I like the prospect of a deep throaty roar! I drove a Volvo 850R as a daily until a couple of years ago (wife hated it and so finally it had to go) - that had a loud exhaust on it, sounded fantastic!

Re: Stainless Exhaust

Thanks, so decent quality, then. I think I’d be happy with the single near-side outlet, not looking to change the look particularly.

Stainless Exhaust

Thinking about replacing my 20 year old steel Dansk exhaust- should probably have bought a stainless one at the time. Anyone running a TT sports exhaust? Any other recommendations? Thanks

Re: Suspension Refresh

After a bought of Festive COVID finally felt well enough to get back in the workshop and replace the rear dampers. The old ones were shot and I should have changed them sooner! Anyway, forecast is dry for today so hope to take the car out later, I expect to feel a difference.

Re: What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?

Replaced the rear dampers on my 912. Looks like the old ones should have been replaced years ago, oh well. Hopefully it will be dry tomorrow and I can go out for a spin to feel the difference!

Re: Suspension Refresh

On the tie rods Sean, are you replacing the Porsche tie rod ball joint with the Rover ball joint? The Rover ball joint looks to have a longer threaded section?

Re: Suspension Refresh

Thanks gents. I hadn’t planned on changing torsion bars. I had noted that all the solid tie-bars I had seen were for LWB cars, rather than SWB cars, so may choose to stick with what I have. I’m aiming for a well-handling road car, so not really aiming for anything much over OEM. The ER a-arm bushes ...

Re: Suspension Refresh

So new Koni rear dampers have arrived, look straight forward to fit. I’ll start by rebuilding the front suspension, then move to the rear, which looks to be more involved. The Elephant Racing bushes look good so I plan to use those.
