Re: Windscreen for 1969 911t
Indeed I have seen their web page. It seems there are so many options and views on OEM/Porsche/3rd party screens. My thoughts are to buy a Porsche rubber seal and OEM/3rd party screen. The front screen is not heated so I dont need the added expense. I just wanted to see if anyone had hands on experi...

Windscreen for 1969 911t
Can anyone provide some hands on experience and recommendations for a replacement windscreen fro a 1969 911t. There seem to be a few options across the price range, if there are better priced alternatives I'd rather not pay up for an official Porsche screen unless it is the best option. I want to ge...

Re: Smugglers box question
The only other rust I can find...well so far...again surface rust.
Also what's the rubber hose I the picture, hole facing up......drain from the scuttle ?
Battery boxes in decent shape just some minor bits of missing paint
Cheers

Smugglers box question
I have slowly started to have a delve into my recently purchased (3mths back) 1969 911T. I decided to give the boot a clean out and see if any issues were lurking. So far so good, some very minor loss of paint and surface rust, which I am treating, applying zinc primer and basic black paint top coat...

Re: Steelies in alloy
Thats useful to know, thanks. I suspect 6 but perhaps even 7s....would need to call and check on those: 'Aluminium version of the classic 15 x 5.5" steel wheel, with all the looks and then some, with the extra dish, in 7", at a fraction of the weight. The trick offset allows for the use on...

Steelies in alloy
I have the original 14in fuchs on my 69t which are running in 185/70/14 tires so a little undersized...but still perfectly usable. Also a little extra width may add some weight to the steering which is very light indeed............maybe a touch too light. I really like the look of steel wheels and h...

Re: 1st jobs
Yup makes sense.......I do have to take the door cards off to install new check straps.
Another question, the reinforcement kit is for 1970 onwards and the door stay is different on the 1969 models. Has anyone needed to/or has installed something to reinforce pre 1970 doors ?

Re: 1st jobs
Will have a look at the indicator stalks thanks.
Door hinge pockets are partly to blame but the noise I think is more attributable to something heavier, felt channel guides worn or perhaps something loose inside the door.
Will get the door cards off and investigate.
Cheers

1969 911t......I did a short introduction earlier in the week.
I have used Bilt Hamber products before on my Alfa and Lancia, great stuff and very local to me.
I will check out the link, many thanks.
Cheers

1st jobs
So having driven the car for the week glad to report all is well, surprised at how light the steering is not just on the move but stationary too. So cabin rattles: Replace window felts and check inside door panels. Replace and install door strap reinforcement kit......doors swing open freely so stra...

Re: 911t new owner
Tyres are a good point, the 185/70/14 fitted are undersized this becomes clearly obvious when on the motorway. Plenty of life in them so intend to drive the car for a while then fit new 185/14s or look at 15in options.
