The easy way to get in is remove number plate drill hole in bumper to line up with one in car use long screwdriver open catch your in put plate back on job done

Sounds like a sticky inlet valve but could be loose gide, soft spring or something stopping a good seal valve to seat, is it bad hot or cold, high or low revs, have you done comp test rob

hi Tom the bottom diagram is the same for my 1972 914 part 7 fits onto the engine front lhs and fan assy bolts to it cold air enters from the front and go out left and right hope this helps rob
