Re: Another early S bites the dust

Anyone bidding on this today?
The pre live auction price is already at £16200 which seems a lot to me, factoring in all the others fees and VAT

Re: Another early S bites the dust

A full working day I didn't mean that. I mean what if the winning bidder is on holiday and will not be back for a few weeks? Will the site wait for him and if so, how long maximum? You get to book a date, first 30 days of storage included. All details on this webpage https://www.copart.co.uk/Breake...

Re: Another early S bites the dust

A full working day, so you'd want a couple of people and some power tools.

Re: Another early S bites the dust

Extensive fire damage automatically gets Cat B status regardless of whether a specialist can restore it. I wonder what the payout was from the insurance company? If the shell has to be scrapped to meet the legal requirements of Cat B, how much value is there left in the rest of the car as it stands...

Re: Another early S bites the dust

As a Cat B the auction house won't let it leave their site unless the purchaser is a licensed car breaker. However, they do have a service where you can go and strip the car yourself at their facility and then they send the shell to be crushed. So technically any of us could win the auction and then...

Re: Black center speedometer

Assuming it's the same as a 911 Speedo, looks the same.

I have one of these which is surplus to requirements as swapping to a MPH one.
I can send you some pics if you PM me.

Re: No none electric car sales from 2030??

Hi Jonny,
Is there a build thread anywhere for your 914 EV conversion?
Sounds quite nippy!

Re: Porsche for sale of the day..........

https://youtu.be/9seAsVL6BXY 1966 911S in Cardiff features in this video and is for sale. Johnny seems much more excited about the 912 for some reason, but looks too far gone to me. 130K views in 2 days, reckon the old dude is getting battered with emails right now. Re: OT: joining the EV revolution

My brother wrote off his Zoe too. 2nd hand options for EVs, Zoe, Leaf, eGolf. If you really only need 50 miles local range, and can charge at home overnight then there is also the Merc B250e, which I have been running for 2 years very successfully as our local runabout. It has Telsa motor and batter...

Re: 8000 rpm/300 bhp 3.2 reuild

Graham, I have the stomski piston circlip tool if you want to borrow/copy it.
Also have their cylinder hold down nuts which are useful during reassembly.
