Re: Home Built Hot Rod (Full video build)
Congrats Jeff, great to see you out driving Harry. Looking forwards to watching the evolution of the car.
BTW, did you adjust the rear ride height to sort the tyre rub under load?

Re: Anyone driving an EV?
Sorry, didn't mean to alarm, I'm sure he was just unlucky.
The delay was caused by Renault UK and Renault France having a dispute over who's responsibility it was to pay for the battery pack replacement. Got sorted in the end.

Re: Anyone driving an EV?
My brothers's Zoe is one of the ones where you rent the battery from Renault at a cost of £60 a month. It's a 6 year old car and the battery failed completely, was off the road and with Renault for 6 months before they finally were forced to replace the battery. He had to get lawyers involved to get...

Re: Anyone driving an EV?
Not sure how I missed this thread, but I bought a little known Mercedes B class (2016 plate) electric back in December and it's been amazing as a family run around. We hardly use our other oil burner SUV anymore. However it's very much EV 1.0 as the range is totally shite especially in the winter. W...

Jeff, forget the damn gear shift, Start that engine!!
Come on, we've been waiting years for this bad boy to fire up.
Once the engine is running I'm sure all the other minor stuff like gears and brakes will happen quicker.
Last push now, well done.

Re: Your Porsche pic of the day......
Ignore that ... it appears the Porsche crashes into a tree which was going to fall down so road was closed .... a different driver then drove up the wrong way Police post doesn’t read that way though ! Bizarrely I met the driver of the Porsche in a pub last Saturday. He showed me all the photos on ...

. Not often mentioned .... "A recent article published in Nature indicates that data centres currently use an estimated 200 terawatt hours (TWh) of electricty per year - this is 1% of the global electricity demand and more than the energy consumption of some countries. This year, the Natural R...

Re: Tiekan Takon wot
Yes energy storage is key to the switch to renewables, again fuelling the investment in battery tech. Tesla is showing what's possible already. They are effectively a battery company not a car company. Nuclear Fusion IS the answer, and wind, solar and tide are a stop gap solution to get us there. Un...

Re: Tiekan Takon wot
Graham, coal is on it's last legs in the UK, we recently ran for more than 2 weeks without any coal generation in the UK at all. During storm Ciara 2 weeks ago 36% of the UK's power came from wind and broke the previous record set in December. Tidal generation is very much alive in Scotland where th...
