Re: hello and another new project
Having just read the entirety of your 'Eve' Barn Find thread Mike I now know what a knee bar is, and will drop it at the next opportunity. I may need some help de-coding the number though. I've also been thinking of posting on here again to get some advice from you chaps, so I guess now is as good t...

Re: Amazing barn find and a journey of discovery
Any idea what has happened to Eve? Back on the road yet? Still under resto Feroz. I think it will be a while yet. Regards Mike Thanks for bumping this thread though, Wow! All happened before I joined DDK, so have just spent the last three hours glued to reading it. Well done Mike and Brendan. cheer...

Re: LED headlights - now cost effective option.
Very tempting conversion at that price.
If any of you chaps who go for it would like to re-claim some of the cost and sell me your RHD H4 reflectors which you no longer need, I'm in the market for a good pair.

Re: hello and another new project
At this stage I have not found anything that indicates a re-shell, the chassis number has not been tampered with as far as I can tell, and you can see where the mods have been done. It's definately not an SC shell, but there must have been a donor car for all the parts, possibly an accident damaged ...

Re: hello and another new project
Is there any other way to find out what paint code a car originally was other than the plate by the door hinges (which is missing) or a COA? The inside of the smugglers box has an 'interesting' metallic green\blue colour that doesn't strike me as an original porsche colour, but I guess it could have...

Re: hello and another new project
Thanks for the info, wow I didn't realise 69 was such a unique year, I guess it's in part due to it being the first LWB model year.
Hot rod it is then, to be honest that's what I wanted to do anyway.
MOT booked for saturday, so we'll see how we go.

Yes the original matrix style front oil cooler is there, there is also an extra one mounted under the spoiler in the engine lid.... Here's a picture under the bonnet and of the slam panel, sorry about the quality, need to sort out the lighting in my garage! http://i1290.photobucket.com/albums/b525/p...

hello and another new project
Hi, I've been reading the forum for a few months while researching buying my 911, but now it's time to start posting some questions, I have lots! First off here's what I have bought. It's a 1969 LHD car which I found advertised in Belgium. At some stage it was converted to impact bumbers, whale tail...
