Re: Chris Turner tax disk holder

Hi Tony. Someone made some Chris Turner Stickers a couple of years ago. I’m not sure about Tax discs. They were available from someone here on DDK. Chris was a great guy and looked after my car too. Hope you get something to add to the car in his memory

Re: Goodwood Parking tickets for Saturday 6th April - tomorr

Apologies. In my idiotic haste I appear to have asked for something that does not exist. Apparently it's free parking.

Re: For RHD, would Sportomatic be better than manual?

I have a RHD 72. I’ve never driven an LHD but I’ve not even thought about the pedals being offset in mine. It’s titally fine for me.. One bonus is that I can even see cyclists round left hand bends on country roads! Safety first!

Lovely black RHD MY72 there. Anyone know any more about it? I’m biased as I have one too. Maybe not as nice as this one though.

Yellow RHD 911S pre 73 on Upper St, Islington

Just caught a glimpse yesterday afternoon on Upper St when I turned round after hearing the engine sound. Lovely Light yellow RHD S I think. Big thumbs up. I actually clutched at my heart instinctively when I saw it. I should have been out in mine!!

Re: 73T at Classic Chrome

I met Ricky at Chris Turner’s wake. He had also done work on a friend’s ‘69 E. My mate is very particular about things and said Ricky did an amazing job on some body work. He made the doors fit absolutely superbly too. I did try to contact him but had no luck. If you need a phone number I think I ca...

Re: Sunday Drives under 2 hours away from Hackney?

Thaks for the tip Richard - looks like there are some great bits from Puckeridge going north. I'm thinking of using the M11 a little to get me out of town and coming off at Chigwell, either go via Loughton to Sawbridgeworth and then north or maybe even a little more round about the back lanes via Ch...

Sunday Drives under 2 hours away from Hackney?

Hi All - As it's going to be a crisp bright Sunday morning tomorrow here in darkest Hackney I'm taking a friend out for a drive in my '72 T. We're heading out of Hackney around 9am and I'm looking for a drive of around 1.5 hours until we hit a pit stop of sorts - i.e. anything interesting from a bas...
