Re: Mechanic in North East / East London for general service

Thanks Neil. I think the car was serviced by Jaz with a previous owner so that may be a good place to start. Anyone used them? Any other suggestions within the M25? Everyone else is keeping very quiet!

Thanks

Mechanic in North East / East London for general service?

Can anyone recommend a good early 911 mechanic in North East / East London please? I had the priveledge of taking my car to Chris Turner. That experience and the quality of his work is really missed. Is there anyone out there who may approach that level in my area? Any suggestions please?

Black H plate 911T Victoria park Roundabout

Great to see this left hooker approaching the roundabout early evening around 6 tonight. Wish I had been there in my 72T . Although I was out with my 2 year old which was admittedly nearly as fun.

Re: Sitting with Chris Turner

Just heard the very sad news. Chris was such a very generous spirit and although I only knew him for three years he was so welcoming to me as a total novice and newcomer to classic 911s. My condolences and best wishes go out to Suzanne and his family.

RIP Chris - we'll miss you.

Bad Door fit- bodyshop recommendation within M25/SE please

Hi all - the fit on my doors and engine lid is shocking and I'm finally going to get round to getting them sorted. Can anyone please recommend a bodyshop who can make them sing with a ping when they shut? I'm in Hackney in London but anywhere within the M25 or even the SE of England would be great. ...

Re: Crazy car prices

Given that most of us probably bought second hand I'm not sure the original price when new matters that much to most of us. My mate bought a '69 E in the 90s for £5k. A nice matching numbers car. So I wonder what that would be the equivalent of if he bought it today? Perhaps there is a golden era wh...
