Re: Age related plate

Thanks for the replies guys, it confirms that DVLA are making life difficult for some reason, and its not straightforward anymore. I'll let you know how I get on.

Age related plate

Hi guys, I have a '73 911 imported to the UK in 1979. In those days it got a '79 T suffix plate. Has anyone had any experience with DVLA on applying for an age related plate?

'73 F series clock repairer?

Hi guys, where can I get my VDO Quartz clock fixed? It's decided not to work anymore, and the bezel is crimped on as you know, so not easy to get to the works without damage?

Re: Correct (?) Tyres

I just failed my MOT on my 73T and one of the failures was my cracked Fulda Y2000 tyres. I've subsequently found out these are quite expensive tyres to replace - what does everyone else use? If money were no object I would fit Avon cr6zz, or maybe the XWXs which I ran on my daily user '73 many year...

Re: 73T hot rod: agreed (re) valuation?

Bootsy did a good valuation for me recently - value up from 45K to 69K for a nice LHD '73. I'm just negotiating amendments with Carol Nash and they want an extra £47 on a £300 policy which expires in 5 weeks time :angry4: I might call Hagerty for a quote as CN don't seem that efficient to me, they r...

Re: Cavity treatment for an early 911?

Blimey is Terry's Beetles still around! I did some work for the owner (whose name funnily enough wasn't Terry) about 25+ years ago when he drag raced a v quick VW type 1 at Santa Pod. Thanks for the benefit of your experience, I think Dinitrol is a good product by the sound of it.

Cavity treatment for an early 911?

Guys, can anyone recommend someone who can do a professional quality cavity wax treatment for an early 911. i.e. has all the proper spray lances to get in and who knows all hidden the 911 cavity spaces. Around London preferably, but I will travel to get a top job done - a crap job I can do myself!

Re: STOLEN - 1971 2.2E - SE LONDON

All very sad, I hope the owner at least gets paid out a fair compensation. And a reminder to to get an up to date valuation promptly into the insurance company, mine won't even consider ungaraged whilst at home. This is one consequence of soaring values and open European borders and let's hope the c...

A strut brace won't effect luggage capacity much, it's more of a loading gauge
