Re: Frazer Nash/BMW 319

What a great story Jeremy. Funny how fate played it's hand in not allowing you to buy the first car, but led you on a a path to acquiring the car that I think in your heart you always wanted.

Re: Aluminium valve covers 66/67

Hi Matt,
How much would you want for your upper covers??
I've also have a unused eleven hole lower valve cover. It's been machined slightly one end for some reason. I might still have your email address so could send you some photos if you're interested.
Regards Stefan.

Re: 1970 911E vs 911T engine differences

The original colour is Bahia red. The shell has just been restored and painted in its original colour by Steve Kerti at Classic Fabrication here in Devon. I'm afraid I'm no good at downloading photos on DDK which I'm mad about, but could email you pictures if you pm me your email address. There are ...

Re: 1970 911E vs 911T engine differences

Engine number 6200731 looks like a 69 build, so an early 2.2E motor. My matching numbers engine is 6200826 and the build date of my car is 1st of Nov 69.

Clutch release bearing expensive.

Quite surprised how expensive the clutch release bearing kit for a 1970 901/911 gearbox is compared to one for a 915 gearbox release bearing kit.. :(

Re: WTB: 1970 door stay/check

My 1970 911 has the earlier door check which has the 41mm spacing. Hard to find good used ones. SMC sell them but not cheap $198.95 each.

Rockers

After accidently throwing away my rockers and shafts etc :( I'm looking for a set for my 1970 2.2, although I think they're the same from 65- 89.
