Re: R/C cars

I would see if there is a local club and see what they run, running at a club will be more fun in the long run and there are lots of lessons to be learnt.

Re: Advice on Garage!

If you have the height to lift a car I would consider a 2 post lift as then you have room to store one car above the other. I think you may need to block or relocate that vent if your closing in the space as a garage, if you had a gas of fuel leak in the garage you would not want it collecting under...

Re: Classic v 996 S?

I sold my beautiful SLK55 AMG with 32,000 miles and every option. It was a great car with lots of toys and grunt but being an older style auto the gearbox drove me crazy! Gearshifts were not a patch on our DSG Skoda Yeti 170! http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/08/25/e2367368baeb9e110c1271c26146e01d.j...

Classic v 996 S?

I was in the same situation about 6 months ago and stumbled across a very tidy early 997 which suited me as the early ones have the ims that can be changed! Last month I pulled the gearbox fitted a new clutch and a revised IMS with a direct oil feed fed from the head. I'm loving the fact the car ret...

VW Beetle Skittish steering

I recall there was a steering arm modification on one side that could be done when running low and narrow? On my speedster I got fed up with the steering and in the end fitted a rack

It could be that the frame head has been replaced and is not at the standard angle?

Skoda yeti dsg with electric seat option or VW T5 dsg, both work for me even on 800 mile day trips!

Re: What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?

I replaced my clutch and ims on the 997, think I caught the ims just in time at 67,000 miles :)

Advice on building a workshop / garage for my restoration..

My benches are in the rear end of the garage and wheel about, great for engine removal under the ramp, also the rear half has a upper floor for storage which currently has a shell for the next project! Putting the car trailer on the ramp works like a lift! I'm lucky I have another double garage on t...

Re: Beaulieu Auto jumble today

Interesting,

A chesil speedster is a lookalike
But a Noble built Ferrari replica with a Renault engine is "lovely" ??

Just wondering where the replica line is?
