Re: What colour green is my 911?
Hi Will, County did the match by sending the fuel cap off. Supposedly the ICI computer match has tens of thousands of colours to get the closest match. You can always try LE Went in New Malden as they do colour matching. Not sure if the item being replicated needs to be off the car or it can be done...

Re: What colour green is my 911?
Hi All, Thanks for the advice to date. In the end the fuel filler had to go to be analysed and the closest colour found from the ICI range. Considering there are about 6 different shades of green on my car I had to accept the closest match. Mark at County Coachworks did a great job, and discovered h...

Re: What colour green is my 911?
Hi Mike, mine is a 911E built in 1968. I have been informed by the previous owner that the code is 6806, but that is too dark. Alan

What colour green is my 911?
Hi All, My 911 is currently having the bonnet repaired but the workshop cannot identify the colour. It is not Irish Green from the 60's. It may well be a colour chosen by the owner during a rebuild in the US or something they had in stock. Irish Green is a shade too dark. Any other thoughts from the...

Re: More UK ebay scams.
I saw this early in the morning and by the time I had breakfast it had been removed from e-bay. I suppose they hope a few bargain hunters will send a deposit and then move on to another mark!

Re: Brake Caliper and Piston Specialist in Surrey
Thanks for all the advice. The calipers are off the car and Lee at Classic Car Automotive will be getting a call tomorrow morning. A fairy simple job but very dirty work!

Brake Caliper and Piston Specialist in Surrey
Hi All, I have noticed a pull to one side when braking at speed. At very low speeds there is definitely a braking action from the front offside. I have looked up on the Pelican forum how to remove the pads and caliper which I can do, but I then need to get the dust cover, seals in the caliper renewe...

Re: SW London Meet - gauging interest
Hi Will, This is a really good idea and I would attend. Richmond Park can get a bit crazy on a Sunday morning with runners and cyclists from 7am and the speed limit is 20mph! There are some excellent places for coffee and breakfast in Wimbledon Village about two miles away but the parking would be o...

Re: driver involvement / fun
Hi James,
I agree. I really enjoy driving my series 2a. Very practical and great for lugging items around too! I need to install the new heater matrix and seat belts this weekend.
