Re: '65
Thanks all. It's not bad overall, and will be very nice when done. Just another cautionary tale that, when you get to the stage of really stripping a car, even reasonably decent ones need "a fair bit" of work. I figure the shell will be good for another 60 years (at least) after this visit...

The RH front inner wing, including the strut area, was a fair bit worse than the LH: https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/58c0f610d482e969f2bf11d6/1711317016343-ZFLKZCWT8AR2XFDSEPB6/72518FA5088C47A7B63CFB410FE1BF51.jpg?format=800w https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/58c0f610d482e9...

Re: '65
Thanks jp! I'm looking forward to seeing it again soon. From the email updates, it certainly seems to be getting there.
"Easy" job after your XK! (by easy I mean well-practised and standard for Barry, not a new puzzle to be solved at every turn).
Hope the Jag is looking good!

+1 for Lee at Octane for modern(ish) stuff. He looks after my 993 and 928. One of the (very) good guys.

Work continues apace with Barry. Both of the front strut turrets had suffered from corrosion and previous repairs. Here are the "before" pics of the LH side... https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/58c0f610d482e969f2bf11d6/1710826686649-J3IEZYWU33AX0E7FT0IV/3C20B6FB0D0643D3A0F4F6FB...

Re: 1971 Burgundy 911T
Excellent. Thanks for sharing, Andy. Looks like a very nice car and a good opportunity to tidy and improve. I'm sure it will be even more lovely when you've finished with it.

Re: '65
Side note. I was chatting with Jamie about his 912 which (per other thread) he sold quite recently. Sold via one of the high-end California Porsche places. When presented with the usual set of photos of Barry's work, they said it's uncommon in the US (even for very valuable cars), to see this kind o...
