Re: Porsche v Singer... Bring on the popcorn.
They may be fine as expensive pieces of mobile jewellery (and as such are admittedly exquisite), but they are really the ultimate exercise in turd polishing I couldn't agree more. I see nothing in "re-imagining". On the contrary, IMHO it's a lack of imagination combined with a whole lot o...

Re: Trip to the Porsche Museum - advice required
Tip 1: don't do a "quick blast around the track". If your new to the Nürburgring, this is a sure way to crash. The track needs more than "balls of steel", but first and foremost common sense and decent track knowledge. As an alternative to your plan, you could also sleep over at ...

Re: Fuchs Reps supply
I bought new wheels from Fuchs for my 3.3 turbo. They look fantastic! At the time they were good value compared to the original set (now boxed and stored), they are even lighter than the originals and 30 year old wheels on a 150 mph+ car sometimes made me feel uncomfortable... Porsche sells the same...

Re: 928
That insert should be replaced in any case. Can you hear the electric motor when you pull the release button? If so, you're probably lucky and it's a really easy fix

Re: 928
Thanks Sam. Surprisingly encouraging (they do have a bit of a reputation...) I believe they mainly got that reputation because, contrary to the 911, for a long time the 928 were unloved, old cars and often owned by people who couldn't afford proper maintenance. If you keep on top of things, do prev...

Re: 928
"I wanted, and don't currently have, a car that is good at motorways but not boring when you reach the other end. To make things like Alps and Scandi road trips enjoyable throughout, not only when you get to the interesting bit." That's exactly why I bought my GTS as a "long distance&...

Re: Esso Ceasing Ethanol-Free Fuel in Sep-23
What does everyone use in Europe? All fuels are terribly expensive here in The Netherlands, E5 or better even more so IF available. I believe it's EUR 2,10 for a liter of fuel now (that is EUR 9,5 for a gallon!) is a joke. Therefore, I drive to Germany regularly (40min round trip) to fill fill up t...

Re: Euro 911 G series Headlight.
I assume you need lights for a RHD car? If so I may have a pair in very good condition that I'm willing to sell together. As I live on the continent, I swapped them to LHD lights right after I imported my car. Please let me know and I'll see if I can find them when I'm home again in a couple of days

Re: AGM Batteries
Hi Jonathan, I have a Red Top AGM in my 911. Very good cranking power and when not used it holds power/capacity really well over long periods. Much better than the (new) conventional batteries in my other cars. The standard alternator charges the AGM without any trouble.
