Re: Harry’s garage update - junk ‘genuine’ parts

How about my recent experience with parts for my 3.3 turbo: The infamous 'red relays'? The literally fall apart when opening the bag. Genuine Porsche part. Those that are operable are prone to failure, which is inconvenient to say the least since they operate the fuel pumps. I now carry a spare AND ...

Re: Pair of Fuchs 9 x16

you can get them new: Since August 2019 the Fuchsfelge® Evolution is also available: 7J x 16, 8J x 16 and 9J x 16 – designed for the G-model. I have the new Fuchs (by Fuchs) on my 911 turbo. They are fantastic and even lighter than original. I bought new ones for peace of mind firstly: not really a...

Re: covering steering wheels

Jonathan covered the wheel of one of my cars 7 or 8 years ago and I'm still enjoying his craftmanship every time I take the car out. It's wonderful to be part of the worldwide Porsche community and to get in touch with so many remarkable people. Jonathan, you're one of the guys that make our hobby t...

Re: Germany Road Trip Advice

Fully agree to the above post. I'm Dutch and can confirm that Northern Belgium and the South of the Netherlands are not great for driving (to say the least). Also a word of warning: the Antwerp ring road is notoriously busy at all times of the day, and Rotterdam is almost as bad, especially during r...

Re: Calling anyone in the NL part of the world

Den Braven is a Dutch brand so no wonder you'll find it offered in many Dutch shops. I live in Holland, so no problem to help you out, as long as I don't have to fill in endless VAT forms etc...

Re: What's this chequered semi-circle design seen in Le Mans

Can't see the picture either, but I would put a bet on it being a "Markenweltmeisterschaft" (Manufacturers World Championship) sticker with the chequered flag on one side of the semi circle and the relevant year(-s) on the other

Re: Are Dansk panels good?

I have a feeling that Dansk makes a number of panels for Porsche these days... Or another low cost supplier. I realise that Porsche outsources most of its (parts) production, but when parts are branded Porsche OEM I would expect them to uphold their quality standards. Same story with the infamous r...

Same here with brand new OEM wings for a 3.3 turbo. Very poor fit for a very high price!

Re: Germans courts on the case

In addition, he was 'the Main Man' regarding all things relating to the mandatory FIA Historical Technical Passports for Porsches in historic racing. According to both the FIA as well as the national ASN's JB was the one to talk to if you wanted to get an HTP or if you wanted to get approval to use ...

Re: Quarantine Curation - Car Films

Champions Forever (the F1 movie, not the one about boxing). Skip the first 8 minutes (unless you are a massive Stacy Keach fan), and then enjoy the sights and sounds of seventies F1. https://youtu.be/XtW7ZTCfC5I Oh, and (EDIT for the weak hearted) it is unashamedly and innocently politically incorrect
