72 911T Grill restoration

Hi,

I am nearing the end of a full nut and bolt restoration of my T, my grill is not bad but some of the bars are a bit bent and the anodising is not great. Given the rest of the car is as new can anyone recommend someone to restore this for me.

Many thanks in advance.

Nick

Wanted - One Fuchs wheel to make up a set

Hi, Does anyone have a single 6J x 15 deep six wheel with heart as I need one to make up a set. Preferably a 69 year to match all the others. Month not so much a problem as the other three are different. The others will all need restoring so as long as sound then condition not so much an issue. Many...

To dip or not to dip that is the question

Hi, I am in the final stages of stripping my car and always planned to have it soda blasted to remove the paint so I could protect areas like the original chalk numbers on the dash. However I do see a lot of people having cars dipped instead. I have heard stories of the acid/alkali weeping from join...

Drive shaft removal

I have taken the hexagon bolts out of both ends but I simply cannot get them to move. I would appreciate any advic...

Re: Issues with 2 post lift

Thats how it used to be but it wont raise slightly to push in the release lever.

I believe its hydraulic and single phase.

The instructions were not particularly clear.

Details of the lift below.

Identification help

I am currently stripping my 1971 T and have now got the dashboard out and I have found the original chalk number from the factory. I was told the car was a 71 but am having trouble matching this up. The chalk number is 1012966, I assume they did not bother putting the 911 at the front. I am hoping t...

Re: 1971 911 T Il Cacciatore

It does not look too bad from what I can see. I think the inner front wings can be repaired. It will need all the area done under the petrol tank as the mounting points have gone for the suspension. Two new front wings, two rear wings to get rid of those flares. Sills on both sides, door skins, rear...

Re: 1971 911 T Il Cacciatore

Its been a while since the last update so here goes. The car arrived at Southampton docks on schedule and was picked up by a chap who operates a company called Wallop Recovery who was very helpful and delivered on a very wet Friday just after Christmas in 2014. It was put in an old garage and there...

Wanted Pair of 1971 911T front calipers

Hi,

I am looking for a pair of front calipers for my 911T which were missing when I bought it. I plan to have them refurbished so condition/appearance not an issue.
