I emailed to ask if it has been converted but awaiting a response.

Re: Another import question

Mike, I agree, the fact it was never registered abroad matters not. I had the same issue re-importing from NZ. It had been exported there still with UK number platers but never went on the road reportedly due to needing to fix rust to pass an inspection which never happened.

Re: 1972 911 2.4 T MFI Newby!

Welcome Ray Welcome Ray, Am I right in thinking all original 72 oil flaps are aluminium? Regards Mike The answer I yes, as I discovered when my shell was dipped! Compensated by the dipping company but I seem to recall the price for a replacement was around £300 when I took in account exchange from E...

Re: 1973 911 E RHD - Gemini Blue

Tom, I'm nearly a month behind on replying about the parcel shelf but here is what PET states. There are different part numbers listed for parcel shelves or back wall lining as it is known. 901 555 075 22 for up to 71, 901 555 075 00 for 72 and 901 55 075 02 for 73 (and a different part in 73 if you...

Re: Replacment keys, info please

The yellow sticker looks like the Porsche part number sticker so not what you need. It is always worth a call to your local Porsche centre to ask. I have found the price of parts to be pretty fair in many cases. They will cost a fraction of what you paid for the cars and you will a proper key rather...

Re: Just a thought...

Alternative may be to buy a damaged but repairable car then scrap it. 3.4S on ebay now. Likely more cost than what you described but potential to offset it by parting it out yourself. A lot of hassle though.

Re: website stuff ..... are SSL certificates needed ?

I can't see why you would want to make it SSL as it just encrypts the traffic sent 'over the web'. If you were collecting customer information or taking their payments you would want a secure site so you encrypted the traffic between your server and their device. If they are only reading your inform...

Hi Tom 72 RHD if this helps This photo was while it was in the process of getting dipped just after burning the paint so a bit awkward to see the detail. http://i988.photobucket.com/albums/af9/graemecobb911/DashStripped_zpschvg0zmg.jpg This was before anything was removed. http://i988.photobucket.co...

Re: Master Key / Valet Key

Seems like you only have a valet key. If you do a bit of google searching you will find pages like this that explain the difference - http://www.keys4classics.com/html/Por911_70-98.html Alternatively someone has changed the glove box lock but less likely if ignition and doors match. To be sure you c...

If the offer was genuine he should have bitten their hand off. Alternatively he could have been making it up to try and get a bid from you.

I assume originality is not an issue if these are going on the electric 911.
