Re: Rugby World Cup
I wouldn't read anything into the wales Australia match - I'd expect him to put out a second team to save them for the quarters - no point in flogging yourself to death when you are through anyway If the draw for the quarter finals was not already set then I could see Gatland resting players but th...

Re: 1972 RHD 911T Coupe
It does not seem like 5 months since the last update but the car is finally fully stripped. The 'no rhyme or reason' pattern continued with the removal of the final parts like the doors. I had to drill off the heads of some of the bolts as the threads that took the M8 bit were already stripped. On o...

Re: Rugby World Cup
After tonight's results if Uruguay beat Fiji tomorrow, England will need to beat Uruguay next weekend to ensure they get 3rd place and automatic qualification to the next World Cup.
At least England can console themselves with going home early from the World Cup they don't have far to go.

Also stopped to speak to the guy who owns the garage across the road who had a 197...

Strange as the photos work fine on my iphone (and very good they look too) but just checked on desktop and they are not showing. Previous photos are fine though on both.bjmullan wrote:I'm only seeing an no-entry size in the place of the images your posted in the last post

Re: Wiring Plugs
Hi Duncan For the ones I could lay my hands on in my box of bits, my cryptic notes for which plug to locate them in state: Wiper - right of ignition Ignition - left of ignition Indicator - behind hazard lower Hazard - behind hazard upper Hopefully they make sense or at least narrow down the options....

another one in Sweden. Amazing how many early 911s are there. This time the seller also sells lip balm which they dispatch from Croatia.

Re: Long Distance Restoration 1970, 911T
I really hope this can be resolved satisfactorily. At least with the restoration charted as well as it has been there is solid evidence of the original condition.

Re: Tinted Glass in 1972?
Do you know if the back window glass is the same from 66 - 89, was it just the seal/frame that changed? There is single stage and two stage heating varieties but according to Porsche Parts catalogues (available from Porsche UK website) they fitted the same glass up to 73 then in the next model rang...

Re: Numbers, numbers
Not sure if this helps or hinders. Looking at a book called 'A Restorers Guide to Authenticity' I can see that car is a 70 model year but built in 69. Chassis number at the end of 69 was 9110100793. On the same page it tells me the standard transmission was either 911/00 or 905/20. From the way the ...
