On the CoA request form there is a phone number and an email address. The email address is the one I am corresponding with Porsche GB about them correcting the two errors on mine.

Re: KARDEX
I understand that Kardex was the source of information for the computer records that Porsche use for CoA. I don't know whether Kardex records still exist in some vault but they are not available as they used to be. The computer records are prone to error though. For example, I know mine has at least...

Re: What might this switch be for
Thanks for the input. I like the idea of an ejector seat but my car has no sunroof. I could of course swap my tin top for the Allard Golde fabric sunroof discussed on a thread here last week if I decided to fit an ejector seat! The electric aerial seems likely. There is a hole in the driver's side (...

What might this switch be for
This was in the middle of the dash on my 1972 911T just above the gap for the radio. http://i988.photobucket.com/albums/af9/graemecobb911/Switch_zps4b8aac29.jpg The switch rocks up or down but resets itself to the middle position rather than staying put. This is what it looks like when removed with ...

Re: Original radio in my 1970 911T (LHD USA car)
According to the book 911 & 912 A Restorer's Guide to Authenticity, the Becker Europa (US Band) was OE for 1965-1969. In 1970 (which I see you list as the year of your car), the only Becker model listed is Grand Prix. Other options for 1970 were Philips AM/LW cassette or the following Blaupunkt ...

Re: The Bridge.
Why did Saga go to that particular waste bin to find the coffee cup? Is she psychic as well??? As I recall there was a scene earlier where Saga could not get hold of Martin. When they eventually met up again as he got out his car he dropped the cup in that bin just as he greeted her. Regards Graeme

Re: Filling in the blanks....V55/5
Hi Kieron, I contacted the DVLA too and their advice was my car did not need declared SORN as it had not been licenced after the cutoff date of 1998. I can't remember how long yours had been out the country but it does seem a bit odd they need it SORN if exported before then. I am in a slightly diff...

Re: Door switches
Mick, Page 316 of Porsche parts catalogue suggests same window switch was used up to 72 and different one from 73. I have a 72MY car with the red, red/white and red/black wires. http://i988.photobucket.com/albums/af9/graemecobb911/DSC00309_zps759e0a4f.jpg I took this photo when taking the door card ...

Re: How to check if a car is in theUK
The link you want is https://www.gov.uk/get-vehicle-information-from-dvla , select Start then Vehicle Enquiry. There is also an Export flag as part of the enquiry but it is not fool proof. Having recently reimported a UK car, mine was listed on the DVLA website as not exported but it had been for ma...

Re: Door bin
Is it too obvious to suggest contacting your local Porsche Centre? I don't know if they are NLA but I know many have been pleasantly surprised by price / availability for some parts. Not saying it will be the case here but maybe worth a try.

A UK project from NZ
I have posted messages a few times but thought it about time to introduce myself properly. I am Graeme and I stay in central Scotland. I have had a long interest in Porsche with my first Porsche memory being from Condorman the movie. Check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MAtervTgpys and forward t...

Re: WEBASTO Heater for right hand drive photos please
I don't think there is room to fit on the RHD model. I agree with Berny. According to a book I have, the RHD rear of the luggage compartment is not a mirror image of LHD. For LHD there is a large panel covering the petrol heater but RHD only has a small lid that covers only the master cylinder rese...

I suggest posting in the Vehicles for Sale board with a link to this, although I think forum rules require a price.

Re: 912 ebay - Oh Dear
I like how they decided they needed 17 photos of the 356 when 1 says it all. With the 912 that was the original topic you may be wondering if you miss something when deciding if it is worth the money and incur an unexpected bill. At least with the 356 you know there is nothing other than the door ha...
