Re: What if Goodwood Members Meeting is cancelled due to Cor

Mark: I'm really hoping that one good thing to come out of this is a glimpse of what happens when we dial back our frantic lifestyles. Less travelling = more time with family, more time doing what you want =, in turn, more efficient productively. Less travel = less cost, financially, evironmentally ...

Re: What if Goodwood Members Meeting is cancelled due to Cor

Don’t tell Greta that ! There are reports of climate improvements bubbling up all over the place. For me, the road is already like being here ten years ago (well three anyway). By the afternoon I'm fully expecting to see wild orchids and crested newts. In China air pollution levels over affected re...

Re: What if Goodwood Members Meeting is cancelled due to Cor

Roving reporter report: my road's very quiet. Not deserted but the gaps between the lumps of traffic are definitely longer than last week. My insurance broker is one of 60-70 in the office. As of Monday she'll be half of the office staff: her on one floor, someome on the floor above. Rest working fr...

Re: What if Goodwood Members Meeting is cancelled due to Cor

It is just part of a year or maybe the whole of it. ALL the car stuff is irrelevant unless you make them, make bits, sell them etc. So we have nowhere to drive to to 'hang-out', not really a big deal. You can still drive to your fav place in the UK in your '911', take in the scenery and have a long...

Re: 70 S, RHD, Signal Orange, UK->Australia->UK

I'm intrigued. With the trans/engine apart what have you found? I presume the clutch assy is new, flywheel correct and the thrust bearing correct. Was the assembly right? Is the clutch correct for the car? What about the box, rebuilt? I'll let Richard explain where things are :) I must underline th...

Re: 70 S, RHD, Signal Orange, UK->Australia->UK

Perhaps I might be allowed to interject that one odd symptom was that, with the car in the air and any gear selected, there was an odd 'brrrr' noise if you turned the wheels with the clutch dipped. The noise stopped with the clutch pedal back up. Either way, at no point did there seem to be a conne...

Re: Classic LeMans - still going ahead at this stage

You can't be reading it right Keith, this makes it perfectly clear :roll: : ' ... the prime minister insisted that the government's aim is "to protect the health of the French under all circumstances, but also to ensure that normal national life can continue." ' Not quite sure how that wor...

Re: Classic LeMans - still going ahead at this stage

It looks like it wasn't enough James: gatherings of over 100 people now banned in France, although oddly I can't see any reference to this on the BBC site so it needs clarifyimg by a decent source. If correct I guess that's either game over, or hopefully, match postponed. I've said to JP I'm out reg...
