Re: Tracker time.
I did my research on these a while ago and found that the cheapest and best was an old mobile phone wired into the car somewhere out of sight, with its own cheap SIM. Can be tracked just about anywhere.

Re: Sister Car
Yes Simon. I was wondering if Steve's car was one of theirs. I picked up a 58 A for a friend here in Aus that was a Saker car. Love Blackadder motors!

Re: Sister Car
Ha! I hadn't noticed that. Siblings too. Mine was 'preserved' in its Adelaide home for over 50 years by the owner using a bitumen roofing product in the early 70's under the car and in the spaces. Sounds primitive I know but it worked well. He also never took the car out when it rained .... I have m...

Re: Zenith carbs running any thoughts
Ok what jets (idle and main) are you running? Have you checked the sizes with a pin gauge? Zenith carbs are simple devices but there are things you must get right such as the float levels by using a level gauge (preMat is my choice) and the make sure that the butterfly valves are properly working. Re: Its the little things ...
To keep the QLD state authorities happy, the front plate - TYP356 - is under the bumper". The "Climb to the Eagle" event sticker on the front bumper covers the ID of the former State, "SA" (South Australia; "SA 1832", its original registration anywhere). Just in ca...

Re: Its the little things ...
Nice plates "Addict". Quality work. Mine were still painted on. Now, since the change of States in Australia and the need for new QLD plates the original painted ones are retained, but underneath the new 'plates. Goes with the original paint as part of the history. https://i.postimg.cc/LsC...

Re: ENGINE ON MY 356
Do yourself a favour and when you have the engine out, modify the two top bolts that attach it to the gearbox. I drilled small hole in one of the facets of each one and punched in a small roll pin (so the pin sticks our about 1cm). That way when you go to reinstall the motor and fit the nuts from in...

Re: Missing engine lid release knob
I just did a similar job with replacing my J-Tubes Neil. Dropped the engine on to the trolley and had it back in again quite quickly. I used the single/flange Porsche Centre-supplied $6.00 gaskets, after trial firing the new Dansk tubes to check for fitment angles on the heads. Used a little hi-temp...
