Re: Euro Lamp Lens Suppliers

Thanks Guys, having seen the earlier posts about cheap alternate lamp suppliers (I bought a pair of the Indian Morris Minor H4's too) I just wanted to validate the merits of buying local with RB. My car is missing quite a few bits, so I will add these to the RB list!

Euro Lamp Lens Suppliers

I have acquired some RHD headlamps for my US import 914 but still need to sort out front indicator/sidelight lens and rear tail-lamp lens sets. I note that Roger Bray supplies them, but before I commit myself to those, are there any other suppliers / sources of Euro lamps that I should check out too?

Re: Green 914

You will have to put up with a few ignorant comments from me whilst I learn more about the car. Thanks for that. Whilst I am at it, I have a nice Nardi wheel currently on a 911 boss. I am assuming that the 914/4 column isn't derived from the 911 parts bin and that I will need an alternate boss if I ...

Re: Green 914

According to the close panel sticker it was an 01/75 car. I suspect it was one of the first with the larger bumpers. From what I have read, Zambezi Green wasn't available in the 1975 model year so probably not very common for such a late car.

Re: Green 914

I have to say that I do think the colour is rather cool. I will be keeping it original when I get some of the paintwork redone. My wife even likes it :colors: !

Re: Green 914

Collected the car today. Great weather all the way up from Kent until 5 miles from home, at which point the heavens opened (it needs new targa seals!). Consequently I haven't spent much time going over it yet. What I do know is that it is going to need quite a lot of tidying up (the pictures flatter...

Re: Hello from Cheshire

Cheers Kevin. Heading south on Sunday to collect the car Monday so will have more details soon. It is a 1975 car with the later bumpers, but listed as having a 1.7 engine. So will need to do some checking on engine numbers etc on my return.

Hello from Cheshire

I registered having just purchased but not yet collected a 914. Rather than use something derived from my name as a screen name I thought I'd use something related to the car not realising that there is a company with the same name! no association whatsoever. if it causes confusion I will modify. An...

Re: Green 914

I will find out in the coming week how sound it is when I collect it, having been fortunate (I hope!) to have had the winning bid. Chap selling it specialises in E-Types though occasionally brings in the odd Porsche from California. Ironically I am in California on business this week so can't collec...
