Re: 20mm wheel spacers for 7R

Thank Bruce.
That’s really helpful.

Are these hub-centric? I remember that seemed important when I was buying the bolt on ones.

Maybe it’s not relevant with this type?

Re: 20mm wheel spacers for 7R

Thanks Bruce. That maybe is what my mate was referring too. He said he might have some. I didn’t realise they would be from 944s. That suggests they won’t be too hard to come by.

Re: 20mm wheel spacers for 7R

Thanks Andy.

So do you think the Porsche spacers with longer studs into the hubs are a better bet? I guess those were used on the 911R?

20mm wheel spacers for 7R

I had the rear wheels (Group 4 7R reps) off recently to put some new tyres on and found one of the rear 20mm hub-centric spacers had some quite significant cracking on one side. Not sure about hosting the pictures I have, but these are the type of spacers. https://www.design911.co.uk/p/wheel-spacers...

Re: Tyre recommendations

I’m looking for 195/65R15 91V front and 205/60R15 91V rear. Anyone help? Peter - Goodyear Efficient Grip tyres are available in both those sizes/speed rating ... . Thanks Andy. Is the feeling that those are any good? I had currently got Toyo Proxes TF1 on this list but an initial call on Saturday a...

I said carcass, not tread pattern.

Anyway, I may not be right if the carcass is the same as the XWX one (185/70) - it's just what I believe.
Ah I see. Sorry I misunderstood. 👍

Re: Tyre recommendations

Which makes me think - The Kleber 185/70 will have the same carcass (identical) as the XWX, won't it? In other words, the Kleber 185/70 is an XWX in disguise. There is no way Michelin would have made a different carcass just for the Kleber 185/70 as the tooling would be too expensive. I’m just look...

How much oil is needed for a 901 dogleg gearbox? Is it 2.5 liters?

Re: Deep 6 front and 7R rear tyre advice please

Thanks misteralz. Didn't fully understand sorry initially, so I've done a bit of googling. Don't know why I went for CFs, but I was told they were the ones I needed by a pal who races early 911s. He probably knows I'm more comfort than anything else. So you are suggesting Toyo Proxes TR1 are worth a...

Re: Festival of Speed Ticket for the Friday - WTB

There was a 918 in the Cartier Concourse?
Next to a Carrera GT Zagota. One of six made.

It’s like Top Gear. A show for the mass market, but I still enjoy it and feel we are privileged to have events like this in the UK.
