Re: Tail wagging the dog?
I found myself in a similar position, and sold my 912 a couple of weeks ago. Although I had a fully restored 912, a beetle and a 356 in boxes that I am restoring (some by myself some by a really good specialist friend). I ended up selling the 912 and keeping the 356. Even fully restored the 912 stil...

Re: Consignement stock sale. Any hints and pitfalls
Thanks for the replies. Some good info there. I am transporting the car to the dealer and tbh I had assumed everything else would be covered by him except anything the car needs which is to be agreed with me first. But i will definitely double check. I am confident the dealer is a “good egg” from pe...

Consignement stock sale. Any hints and pitfalls
Hi I am about to put my Porsche up for sale on consigenment stock, its a fully restored nut and bolt job. What i would call close to the top end of the restored market. The dealer is a very well respected gentleman, i havent meet him yet but have never heard a bad word and our calls have all been we...

Re: Essex Cars and Coffee, 11 March 2018
Hi Simon
I'm glad it went well. I'm gutted I managed to break my car on Saturday taking the kids to football, I may have been a bit to heavy on the accelerator. (I'm sure it's only a linkage problem).
I will be there in may.
Thanks again
Doug

Hi drew
Yep pictures would be great I've avoided so far as I need to learn how to post them. I use an iPhone and used to use photo bucket but I know that doesn't work anymore. So I will read up on it and post some pics

Re: Bodyshop recomendations
Ha ha. I'm not sure I could get the wife and kids working on the cars with me. Aparantly it's easier just to buy a car on forza, never goes wrong on there. Welding honestly just isn't for me, I did have a few lessons at night school but tbh I just didn't enjoy it. I used to shape surfboards so was h...

Re: Bodyshop recomendations
Hi Thanks for the replies. It's a tough proposition this one as I'm not a 100k restoration man, hell I'm not a 40k restoration man. I'm happy doing mechanicals but welding is just not for me, I've tried it and I'm awful at it. So my options seem to be sell it, keep it until I have that sort of money...
