Any 964 experts here?

As subject line, really. We've got a low-to-mid teens figure sat in our ISAs at the moment, and given the half a percent interest rate that you seem to get on any savings, we've not bothered to keep topping them up, focussing instead of flinging money into the mortgage. Three years ago we had some s...

Scarily similar! Mine does seem remarkably solid - just a few wee crusty bits here and there, plus the hellhole, obviously. Was underneath it the other day and crawled out all sticky - it's been heavily waxoyled, probably from the start. Makes my life a lot easier. :)

Orange '73 RSR leaving Aberdeen

The noise! They were chasing a Gallardo and were followed by a 360, another Lambo and a 997. Made my morning, that's for sure. :drunken:

Re: What did you get this Sunday?

Did the scenic ride at Bike Balmoral with the kids. Got a Terry's Chocolate Orange from the youngest, and this: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Yru8FxYkBUA/UaednklKuxI/AAAAAAAAETQ/b1I0ZuaGKoI/s320/Stuck+by+Oliver+Jeffers.jpg from the first born. First read it about a year ago and really struggled with it ...

Was a good show, though, wasn't it? Loved the autotesting. Especially when that Camel Trophy Landie was in the ring!

Re: Silver 911 at Errol airfield yesterday

It looked utterly lovely and I was very envious. Would have loved a blether. I think I was carrying Calum at the time. Certainly remember him telling me it was a 'Poesh Nine-leven'. :D It only helped to confirm that yes, I do definitely want a pre-impact and that I'd better hurry up with the 914 and...

Silver 911 at Errol airfield yesterday

Spotted the DDK stickers on it. It was rather lovely. Although I'm sure the earliest RHD example belongs to Deeman on here? :P

Thanks! Don't be holding your breath, though - I've still to get power in my garage and the top priority at the moment is getting our early bay resolidified in readiness for some island hopping next summer. I'll be posting updates as and when, though. :)

Brushed off most of the swallow shite, and started cleaning the bulkhead trim before running out of upholstery cleaner: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v735/AL-Z/914/IMG_1924.jpg I'd used most of it on the seats: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v735/AL-Z/914/IMG_1922-1.jpg Came up reasonably wel...

Re: '73 914 - a slow recommissioning.

Calum's quite keen on it: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v735/AL-Z/914/IMG_1911.jpg I caught him sitting in it, making 'brrrrrmmm' noises. And running around it: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v735/AL-Z/914/IMG_1913.jpg Dead excited about daddy's 'Poesh nine foh teen'. :) Surprisingly little i...

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v735/AL-Z/914/IMG_1907.jpg And back at mine: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v735/AL-Z/914/IMG_1908.jpg Since then I've shoved it in the back of the garage and had a poke about. It's very, very solid - there are a couple of holes here and there and naturally the ...

Re: '73 914 - a slow recommissioning.

And that took about two weeks. But that was fine - I'd already agreed to buy it in principle. And to be honest, I still needed to paint the garage floor. So it wasn't too big a deal. Life got in the way a bit, and then a few months later, this happened: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v735/AL-Z/91...
