Re: Fuchs 15 x deep 6 wheels needed

Apologies guys. I was on holiday and fell quite ill. Made it home only to end up in hospital. I'll have to say they're not available for now. If I get around to digging them out and cleaning them up I'll post a for sale thread.

Re: Fuchs 15 x deep 6 wheels needed

Sorry guys. It'll be the back end of next week before I can dig them out, clean them, and get good photos. They are definitely original and I presume date matched, but I'll update when I can.

Re: Fuchs 15 x deep 6 wheels needed

I have a set of four genuine deep 6s. All straight and true. Nice patina, but would refurbish well too.

Re: Fuchs Wheels on my Speedster Rep

I considered leaving them bare, but my behind is a little more boney and my back a little more creaky these days. I doubt they'd have been kind the further i sprint towards middle age. The leather is a good match and the having the hessian visible through the holes in the back will be a nice touch I...

Re: Fuchs Wheels on my Speedster Rep

The interior refurb has been scaled back a bit. I don't want to strip the character out of the car, but the front seats were some horrible 70/80s things that looked like they were out of a Triumph. They stood out like a sore thumb and were sagging with busted piping, so last year I bought a pair of ...

Re: Fuchs Wheels on my Speedster Rep

Some fettling of the exhaust and a session on the local rollers got it running lovely. I've enjoyed driving it immensely all summer. I still love the patina on it, but it was filthy when when I collected it from the barn and all the miles I've done did not help that. I took it over to my local, reli...

Re: Fuchs Wheels on my Speedster Rep

I do still have the Fuchs. I can't see any circumstances where I'd need a spare set and they're a date matched set of deep 6s so could fund the winter tidy up. I love the patina it wears, but the interior looks like it was refurbished in the 80/90s. The seats don't suit it and are tatty, as are the ...

Re: Fuchs Wheels on my Speedster Rep

. The deep sixes are probably worth £500+ ea if they're in reasonable condition - more so if they are all the same date. You can find the date codes on the rear - in the recesses between the webs near to the centre: https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4813/39664149273_20d3b7484d_o.jpg . Thanks. I really ...

Re: Fuchs Wheels on my Speedster Rep

I think the Fuchs would look much better without the white walls and painted in the usual style of the era. I'd keep em as an option, it's unlikely you'd find a set of deep 6s again for sensible money. Look good on this speedster https://i.ytimg.com/vi/ofglOAPgXO4/maxresdefault.jpg Argh, don't do t...

Re: Fuchs Wheels on my Speedster Rep

. Assuming all 4 are the same, those are genuine 'deep sixes' - you can see the fox head logo under the part number. . Cheers. Is that a good thing?... They're in decent shape from what I've seen but would need refinishing for a restoration. I have 16x7/8" on my 911 and I love the way they fil...

Speedster Rep Light Resto

Hi guys, A good friend of mine passed away recently due to illness. We'd both been aircooled bores for as long as i can remember. He had a number of old Porsches in his fleet; C3.2, 944, 928, and this Speedster replica. It was built in 1971 and wears its patina beautifully. Most of the trim is pitte...
