Re: Early side vent window latch

Thanks for the offer Stuart, but Andrew very kindly sorted me out. So nice to have working window latches again, and great to have fellow owners around willing to help so much :)

Early side vent window latch

The RHS latch handle on my 1966 912 has finally broken after years of being too loose. Anyone have a spare for a 65-67? I can salvage most of the internals I think so just need the chrome latch shown at bottom of pic below, and possibly the push button as existing has loose pin. Thanks for any help ...

Re: Distributor Replacement Advice

Hi Carl My 912 has a Petronix Ignitor sold state electronic ignition (PT 1847) in a 050 distributor. It's run flawlessly for the 8 years I've had her. It was installed by the previous owner in the US who knew Harry Pellow and Dave Hillman and that was their recommended to him, together with a 1720cc...

Re: Burnt Targa

so sorry to hear your news Neil, really shocking bad run of luck. You really are due a hefty dose of better fortunes around the corner! If the targa is salvageable, remember I’ve got a very good mix formula for Aga Blue in Glasurit 22 line that I had matched up in the lab in Germany. Imo much more a...

Re: Flat Four Drive Sunday 22 Sep

Great to catch up with those who made it, despite the challenges the weather threw at us. I got back up north safe and sound thanks Danny, battery was fully charged by time got home so it must have been something to do with the insane amount of water the car absorbed on the way down that messed with...

Re: 356/912 Sump Plates

I’d be interest in one as I was planing to purchase either the Precision Matters or High Tech Precision one over the winter ready for next season. I’d be keener on the HIgh Tech Precision one (https://www.hightechprecision.com/product-page/porsche-356-912-sump-plate) as I prefer the central sump plu...

Re: Help needed metal cutting and press drill

Hi Neil, I don’t have a drill press unfortunately, but I do have some left over copper rivets to fill exactly that hole in the sump plate once you’ve removed the magnet. I have the right size rivet punches too to bash the rivet into place. I removed and refitted mine a while back as the original was...

Re: Fuel Gauge Bounce

I think I have none of those dampers that I never used on my 912 as it needed a new sender unit in the end. PM me if you want it and I’ll dig it out.
