Re: Speedster? Coupster? Bitsa?
The car was down in the new Forrest, and that's where those pictures were taken. It's probably still there as it will disintegrate if you try to move it.
Let's see whether a continental coupe comes up for sale now, apparently there's even less of that with an "abandoned vehicle" title.

Re: Speedster? Coupster? Bitsa?
No, there was nowhere else intact to contain a chassis number. It was just an assembly of various panels from different cars, with sections of home made metal tacked between them to form a basic shape. The eBay pictures are carefully taken, not to show to much. The doors are coupe with speedster cap...

Re: Speedster? Coupster? Bitsa?
I viewed this (car?) about 6 months ago, believe me it looks a lot worse in real life. There is no structure to speak of beneath the outer panels, no longs, torsion bar or suspension areas remain. A new floor has been tacked to the outer panels to mock up a basic shape, balanced on a pallet. Looked ...

Re: Footwell map pocket
Thanks Arfor,
I thought so, as most pictures I have looked at show them, I have seen a few without, so thought I would ask the question.
Thanks

Footwell map pocket
I'm having a new carpet fitted in my 69S.
Can anyone tell me whether it would have originally, had map pockets incorporated in the carpet, within the footwells.
Thanks for any help.

12 volt conversion kit
This kit was on an engine a bought a few years ago, which I put back to 6V.
All appears to be in good condition, I was told it was pretty new at the time I bought it, but never ran the engine.
£300 + postage or collect from Essex
Thanks Rob

Re: Earls Court Show Cars October 1968
Yes, you are probably correct, Ian. We now need to hear from Rob911/356 as to whether the identification details of his 911 S correspond with the details which you have provided. Has another car from the show which took place 50 years ago been located? :) Arfor. Hi Arfor, Yes the details Ian posted...

Re: Earls Court Show Cars October 1968
Arfor you mention the guide you have details each car, does it mention the blue 'S' having a sunroof by any chance? Thanks No, it doesn't unfortunately. But I'll quote a few of the details: Forged light alloy wheels with 6J x 15 rims. Fixed-head Coupe coachbuilt by Porsche. Standard equipment inclu...

Re: Earls Court Show Cars October 1968
I have a copy of the Official Show Guide for the 1968 Earls Court Motor Show, and whilst each vehicle on display is comprehensively described, no engine/chassis numbers are quoted. But does anybody have a photograph of the Porsche stand, showing one or more of the cars that Lee has listed, above. I...

Re: 59 356a (BXE 435)
Hi Martin, I had the same thing with a car I brought in from the states last year. There was some confusion, as mine had been registered on the tittle with the engine number, rather than the vin, which was common practice in California in the 50's. It even states on the title engine or vin number. T...

That looks like an expensive way to de-value a 356!
