Re: Maxted page have a nice 2.2s

What will be the asking EL? Not planning on selling it. As prices keep on moving up I don't want to release a car I am into for a very affordable level. I made an error with the work I have undertaken and I should have done a total resto when I spend the first £10k on it in Italy. Let's hope I have...

Re: Maxted page have a nice 2.2s

I'm wrong. Neil's 2.4S is not the EL car but it is lhd. Regards Mike EL being who or which car?? I was referring to your Italian delivered 2.4S with tan interior which you had and then was for sale elsewhere (or at least under a different name) and then for sale back under your name later. I wrongl...

Re: £120k bid and not sold 356 1962 Cab RM Auction

the car had awful gaps etc. I am aware of a very big hitter after one and his man was there but it just wasn't a decent car. 2.7MFI was a cheap car. Well if you know someone looking for a car. This Roadster, to my untrained eye, looked pretty good. However, maybe your friend wants RHD https://porsc...

Re: Black '73 2.4S Targa at Bonhams Goodwood Revival Sale

Split them up into models and markets and it changes.

Out of 5000's how many 2.4S coupe's in their original form?

Anyway good luck to the sellers and the buyers. It's a market place and you need both.

Re: Black '73 2.4S Targa at Bonhams Goodwood Revival Sale

There were some people with plenty of knowledge of the market paying BIG prices for cars. Chris Evans paid a world record price for a Daytona Spyder and bought a car at over $1m less at pebble less than 4 weeks ago. JK bought the 250PF Cab which is about double it's true value. Was it all a PR stunt...

Re: Black '73 2.4S Targa at Bonhams Goodwood Revival Sale

It was done in italy and they don't want any proof it was done as they will then be quizzed about who paid who and where is the invoice. They pay in cash to dodge the tax man so vary rarely does a car some from Italy with any history regardless of marque. I recently bought the most perfect 275 GTB/4...

It is the hexagon car.

Car came to them with zero history. Looked a bright thing however and think it is matching.

They have several cars for sale at Bonhams and Silverstone Auctions at Salon Prive.

Re: Eagle E's founder collection

Interesting times!!! I think there is a lot of funding on those cars but a profit is a profit regardless of which direction the market may go. Interestingly the Daytona Spyder is a car also owned by a dealer. US based, he has owned it for a while now along with a Daytona Cpe and 275 GTB/4. He sold a...

Re: Collector Car Market – The Beginning of The End?

Is a 993 RS a crazy price? Or is it that is crazy the growth in a short space of time? 48 UK RHD Cars?? Great Looks and Great to Drive!! There are less of these than there are 73RS's so I actually think it's fairly priced in this market and a reasonable safe place for your money regardless if it goe...

Re: Collector Car Market – The Beginning of The End?

I am sorry but I 100% disagree. If there is any sort of correction it will be in poor cars that people paid too much for. Quality cars are a not going to plummet at all. There are lots of buyers in the market and even more waiting in the wings for the market to slip back a little (maybe 10% would mo...

Re: Collector Car Market – The Beginning of The End?

There are a number of good points in here but in general it's a very uneducated singled minded article. Putting passion aside for the moment there are many factors why the market is where it is and why it could and may well continue to rise. Even for the so called 'Money Men' he talks about they hav...
