Re: Depth available for radio / headunit
Hi I'll take some pics of the top and back tomorrow, it's a standard Frankfurt case that they've extended in the middle (with metal, screws and tape). Tell me more about the seatbelts, something I know nothing about. I've just had a look at mine and they seem to be three point / non inertia reel and...

Re: Porsche 911s 2.2 1971 Owners Handbook PDF Wanted
Hi
I just bought a 1970 2.2s one from Road and Race in the US. Certainly looks and feels original and has all pages. May be worth dropping them a mail in case they get any others.
best regards
Steve

Re: Depth available for radio / headunit
A quick update on this, I've just got a reworked Frankfurt from Tadpole (pic below): http://i1324.photobucket.com/albums/u614/sfl993t4/0ac5558f-47db-4fda-bbdf-4cf2eb2a9972_zps35424945.jpg Slightly deeper, but modern internals, 4 channel 45w + sub out + ipod in. Unfortunately its probably going to be...

Re: Bumper Guards
Hi Berny
Thanks for that, I'll definitely consider it, but at the moment would prefer some with the correct profile without modification.
Alan, do you have any links to any or are some of yours for sale (and don't forget to keep pressing on with the rhd dash top development
)

Bumper Guards
Hi All My next question is on bumper guards. The ones are the rear seem fine (although could do with a re-chrome) whereas the ones at the front are a bit worse and one has rusted through at the bottom). See pic: http://i1324.photobucket.com/albums/u614/sfl993t4/bumperguard_zpsb93572d6.jpg I guess th...

Hi Michel
Can you post some pictures of the boards. This is something that I could be interested in as well.
Best regards

Re: under the bumper foglights
Hi
Thanks for that, really helpful and seems to confirm that I'm looking for lights with the fixing straight out of the back. Now if anyone sees any for sale at a reasonable price......

Re: Nose down or nose up
Pretty much all racecars are set up (well the ones that I've driven anyway) with some degree of nose down rake. Not sure I'd set up a 911 the other way.

Re: under the bumper foglights
Thanks for the pic Ian, you've convinced me. Now I just need to find them. Am I right in saying that the fixing is straight out the back of the lights, and do you also have a pic of the pull switch, just so that I can make sure that mine is right.

Re: under the bumper foglights
Hi
Thanks for that, definitely keep a look out and drop me a pm if you see any other well priced examples.
Is it right that I need the version with the fixing at the back of the light rather than at the top of the light?

under the bumper foglights
After the success of DDK in helping me find an original durant, I'm now considering under the bumper foglights (rather than TTG ones). Firstly what does everyone think of these? At the moment I quite like the look of them from pictures, but do they look good in real life? Is an extra switch required...

Depth available for radio / headunit
Hello I've been looking at the tadpole conversion of old radios, so modern internals inside an old radio. The challenge is that the standard Blaupunkt Frankfurt is 4 1/2 inches deep (apparently) and for the standard conversion I need at least 5 1/2 inches depth. Can anyone who has a frankfurt fitted...

Re: Mirror and Headlight thoughts
Tell me more about the heated front screen / aerial plan (I guess that I would need to use an amplifier like the one in a 993?)?. Who are the best people to get these from and has anyone tried it? Any downsides? Where would you put a switch to run the heated screen (to look as standard as possible) ...

Re: Mirror and Headlight thoughts
As a quick update to this thread. I reversed my previous decisions on the rectangular mirrors and decided to stick original. So with the help of DDK, I've just got an original durant (pic below) http://i1324.photobucket.com/albums/u614/sfl993t4/mirror_zpse679d756.jpg On the headlights my plan is to ...
