I'm thinking of the speakers as well. Maybe he'd give a ddk group buy price

Re: The definitive early seatbelt thread ?
Very interesting thread, good work. Will post some more pics of mine in a few weeks once they are refurbished/rewebbed.

Re: MFI Pump and Fuel Pump refurb
Hi all will definitely organise the customs labels as I don't want to be charged vat. On a vagualy related subject what is everyone's take on the chain tensioners (like this kit in this link http://www.allzim.com/store/cart.php?m=product_detail&p=572 ) and is this something that should be done s...

Re: MFI Pump and Fuel Pump refurb
Hi James
Thanks for that, I'll plan on sending it to MFIWerks then along with the injectors and will have a dig through your old threads. All other thoughts, expecially thoughts on the throtttle bodies welcome.

Re: identifying seatbelts, and other options
Thanks for all the help on this, Sue has been very helpful and once I get over to the car and work out how to remove the seatbelts (before I get there is there anything that I need to look out for in unbolting them or access to the bolts?), I'm going to drop them off at FTDS. They have some webbing ...

MFI Pump and Fuel Pump refurb
Well I did have a plan to put all the MFI stuff in a box (and keep it in case I ever sell the car) rather than try to troubleshoot it and swap to a Clewett/PMO EFi system, but I've been persuaded to give the MFI a go since everything else seems very original (an upshot of the car barely moving for 3...

Re: identifying seatbelts, and other options
Hi Davd That's brilliant info, thanks for that. If you get a better scan (or even a link to a hard copy of the accessories book) I'd love a copy. I hadn't seen any pics or mention of these belts in a 911 before and so I had assumed that they were aftermarket. Yes mine is the one with the Golde Sunro...

Re: identifying seatbelts, and other options
Hi
That's very interesting, so I guess that it's remotely possible that they are original (my car was built march 1970)? Do you have any more details?
If that is the case I may get the buckles refurbed and replace the webbing.

identifying seatbelts, and other options
Hi all My car has three point non-retractable seatbelts. They are probably non oem but appear to have already been in the car by 1978 (there is a rumour that it was used for some hillclimbs). They appear to be from a company called Irvin (who from a quick google seem to been suppliers for some 60's ...

The design 911 ones are pretty good replicas, see this thread:

Re: Depth available for radio / headunit
Hi James Yes the aerial socket is the original one on the bottom left. It would be great to get a load of pics of your under the dash setup. I am considering something similar for the front as I want to leave the stock door cards etc. Did you make a sealed enclosure for the back of the speakers? For...

Hi Ultra, they look good. I'd happily compensate you if you picked up a set for me at the next swap meet. I guess they don't rust away as quickly in the US

Re: limited slip diff
Hi I think that the original diff was either 40/40 or 80/80 and it was swapped by changing the four plates around so that only two of the four (for 40% locking) or four of the four (for 80% locking) were acting. The originals ran with very little pre-load much like the latest road porsches whereas t...
