I sanded and varnished the wooden rim on my old 67 912 and painted the inner spokes black again. It was horrid before but look quite good after. Just thought I'd attach a pic in case it helped.

Anytime

Just glad to help

PS The other great thing about 40 IDFs is that they also made them for some early Alfa Romeros. I have bought these before for £10-£30 a pair. You have to block off the cold start and a few other simple things but they are the same carb!!

Are you referring to the "pan-cake" flat style filters? When I bought new filters for my 40 IDFs I bought the cheaper alternative than K&N set up. See pic. These were cheap and readily available. The height of the filter in the pic below allows the use of velocity stacks or trumpets as...

Hi Paul, Are we still talking about 6 x15 rims. I have seen what you describe on 4.5 x 15 inch rims, 5.5 x 15 rims and also 7R rims with not on a 6 inch rim. Unless illegally done by someone I would think that the fox sign should make them original, but without seeing them it makes it very hard. Som...

Hi Paul Yes more than one manufacturer alone has made up replica 6 inch wheels. Finding a part number is probably the easiest way for you to deterimine if the wheel are original or not. This is ok for 6 inch rims but I have seen 4.5 inch rims and 7R rims with no part numbers yet did have fox marks. ...

Max wheels also look like copies, the outter edges of the petals seem more square. Off set for all 6s were the same. Many people preffer the look of the deep early 6s, combined with the limited numbers made in comparison to the late flatter 6 they are more expensive. I also have sets of both if you ...

H4s have the capability of having the sidelights in the headlamp. For US imported cars this is the easiest option unless you want to find some Euro front indicator housings which have the side lights next to the horn grill. Most people fit UK silver framed lenses but use the sidelight in the headlam...
