Re: Tyre recommendations for a 356A

Very much appreciated.
I went with the CA67's which was Longstones tyre recommendation.
Yes I am not too far from Jaz. I have known Steve Winter for over 25 years.
I popped up to see Fred Hampton yesterday as it has been many years since he has seen this particular car which he knows very well.

I would recommend you have a thorough pre purchase inspection carried out by a specialist.
As for buying and selling cars for a profit. No harm in that.
It is what makes the world go round

Tyre recommendations for a 356A

A big hello to everyone.
Incredibly excited as I have just purchased a beautiful 1958 356A coupe.
The tyres although as new are 20 years old and of course need replacing.
What would you recommend I go with.
The Pirelli Cinturato CA67 or CN36 ?
Or any of the Michelin range.
Many thanks for your help

Re: Recharge your phone in a 6v car

That is incredibly helpful 356Monkey. Do you have a link for the Lightning cable you bought.
I have literally just purchased a 356A and thought I would take a look here to see if anyone had figured out an easy way to keep their iphone charged especially as waze eats the phone battery. Many thanks

Hi David. A couple of questions. Can you let me have the dimensions of the bike when all folded up. Is it road registered. Do you know the weight. Many thanks

Re: My old motors thread - probably done before, but who car

Amusingly I have run a Ford 150 Ligthning as my daily driver for 17 years... Low 5's to 60 and pretty much 150 flat out. Ram SRT10 daily here in Middle East which would be cripplingly expensive to run in the UK. Kudos to you with 8-10mpg (at best?) at home pump prices. I’m trying to work out where ...

Re: My old motors thread - probably done before, but who car

What was the f150 like ? Amusingly I have run a Ford 150 Ligthning as my daily driver for 17 years. They stopped making them in 2004. I am on number five now. Last one I bought from a friend. One owner with 5000 miles on it. Silver. I love them. Handle fairly well for a truck. Low 5's to 60 and pre...

Re: My old motors thread - probably done before, but who car

. James - was that car road registered/did it have a registration number ? Bear in mind my passenger ride with Gerry Marshall was on public roads ... . Yes the Griffith has a V5. Glad to take James out for a ride. It was my first test day out in the freshly restored car and my first time ever in a ...

That is dreadful news.
I do not do facebook.
So I cannot view a picture of the car on the trailer.
If the reg starts EWV it is mine.

The doctor

Guy goes to the doctor for the results of some tests. Comes home in tears. The wife says why are you crying. Guy says the doctor told me I have to take these pills for the rest of my life. So lots of people have to take pills for the rest of their lives. I know but the doctor only gave me a prescrip...
