Re: Does $100k USD sound a fair price?

Bit harsh Jeremy to be honest. I may end up buying the car to bring back. Then offer it on DDK. But I’m really unsure of values right now. Hence the ask for views. Market is generally downwards in direction. 69 Es are pretty uncommon, so couldn’t really get any good comparators. Hence the request. I...

Re: Does $100k USD sound a fair price?

Pure flipper I’m afraid.

I know the owner personally. It’s a great car. I must just buy it and send to the UK.

I’ll formally inspect the car on Wednesday evening - and make up my mind.

Thanks. Gary

Does $100k USD sound a fair price?

I am thinking of buying a friend’s 1969 911E, 60k miles, mint and original coupe car. Has the engine and MFI rebuilt 4 years ago by specialist. Located in Canada. Fair price in today’s market?

Three Porsche for sale - 912, 356 B and a 356 SC

The three cars I purchased from a friend of mine in the US have now arrived in the U.K. Duty paid, NOVA, and being prepared for sale (service, mechanical checks and detailing) by small Porsche specialist garage. The cars are located near Daventry. Will shortly be ready for V5 application in new owne...

Re: My 912 auction ending in 4 hrs

If anyone wants to know more about the 356 cars (or the 912) please pm me with your email. I have a ppt deck with all the details. These cars are recently fully restored and in lovely condition. If I can sell before listing on TCA site there would be no buyer’s premium, so well worth connecting ASAP...

Re: My 912 auction ending in 4 hrs

Ha ha. Very funny. It was a good price. Bought it in Toronto, already 911 maxed out, so sent to back home.

I have 3 more cars coming over. A 1966 912, and two 356s (1960B and a 1964 SC) if anyone is interested.

So I did, in the end, buy both the 1959 B and the 1964 SC. Correct colours and fully restored. Should be in the UK and prepared for sale in 8 weeks from now. Will keep you posted

Re: Ceramic paint coating. Hype or decent?

Yep. All in the prep. I can see why the cost for a pro shop. If you have to machine polish and get the car tip top I can see why the high cost. If you are like me, and have cars that are used not that often, garage kept, and in very good condition in terms of paint pre, then the little bottle of Bea...

Ceramic paint coating. Hype or decent?

I’ve just attended a workshop on how to apply ceramic coatings. I was sceptical that a nano coating would have any impact at all. Applied to my 911 and VW bus. Very good results. Pain sharper and deeper colour. £60 for a little pot of Dr Beasleys sounds expensive, but I used only just half for two v...

And with greater respect, what has this to do with 356s?

Duty rates are nothing to do with CGT. They are independent.
