Re: O Series front suspension bushes

Hi Ian
I believe that you only have two options with the early cars. It's either factory bushes which are very expensive, or elephant racing bushes. I had the same dilemma and went the elephant route.

Re: Suspension bush help needed

Buy the bushes from elephant racing. Chuck is easy to deal with and has a prompt delivery from the states.

Re: Starting/charging issues

Hi

The yellow wire is not connected to the regulator. It is a remote starting wire if I remember rightly. Check the usual suspects, regulator, brushes, etc. it's the same type of charging circuit for a vw beetle basically, lots of info on vzi.

Re: Silverstone Classic Sunday 28th

We were there today and will be back tomorrow. Spent two hours in the pits. Fantastic display of racing machines, all accessible, drivers and pit crew all friendly and helpfull. To see a 917 used as it should be was simply staggering. Seeing it started and warmed up in the pits was a bonus.

Re: sierra madre seals any experience

Not used any seals from them but have ordered from them. No issues with their service or delivery.

I ordered directly from their web site rather than from ebay.

Delivery took about a week and a half

Re: 1966 912 rear badges emblems

It's highly likely that the panel has been replaced in the past. The early script was only around for a couple of years. It was/is a lot easier to get the later panel an put the later badges on. My car is the same.
