Re: New owner of 912

hi and welcome

Green Light..Oil pressure light.. Check the oil as a starter

Also check the colour of the wire onto the green light as it could be the dynamo light and the oil pressure light have been swapped over.

I have a 66 912 also. Good cars very much under rated.

Garry is situated near Gatwick.

He is a good bloke to deal with, had seat covers and all sorts from him. Always has good advice on how to do a job if you are stuck.

Interior Rear quarter panel plastic bits

You know the bits that cover the wheel arches in a coupe. Covered in vinyl

Has anyone got a pair that they want rid of?

Mine are in a million pieces.

For a 66 912

Re: electrical help needed - differing indicator flash rates

Neil

You could use one of those pens. But you will go through quite a lot of pens trying to remove overspray, dirt, oil, or anything else. They are usually for cleaning oxidised copper and carbon deposits off of pcbs and the like. Also good for removing carbon from commutators.

Re: electrical help needed - differing indicator flash rates

Hi Ben You probably have a bad earth in the circuit causing the issue. Clean all of the earth terminals, (solid brown wires), on all terminals and also the body earths. The only common thing between the circuits you have issues with is the earths. A brass wire brush and some proper electrical cleane...

Re: SWB front wings & engine lid

Mark I was advised of the following differences. 4No. Additional tabs in the headlight bowl for the American spec headlights. The inner lip of the wheel arch is different. From what I can remember the new wing will taper on the lip. This was a change to suit the wider wheels. This was from someone i...
