Stephen, just wanted to comment on your build. It’s brilliant. So similar to what I’ve underway. Been following your progress. Mine has been slowed a bit due to daily life stuff. Really enjoying what your doing. I have a build thread on 914 world. ( http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showtopic=2...

Re: Some 914 photos from the Oldtimer GP

Louis,

Thanks for the pics. I had thought the 916's eliminated the seam between
the fenders (wings) and the panel where the wipers are situated. Beautiful auto.
Fond of the orange one with the hood Cibies'.

Re: New Exhaust System

Hi John, I had a Sebring before i bought from TurboThomas. The Sebring lasted 3yrs. It is quite louder than stock. Couldn't tell if any significant performance gains were made. It is fine if if you dont want to pony up for the cost of a stock Porsche silecer. Thw paint does come off rather quickly. ...

Halda Speedpilot Mk V

Question for the Rally guys: As you can see I'm in the USA and having a bit of a time trying to source some essential parts for a Mark V Speedpilot. I'll be mounting it in my 914. I'm needing a T-gear and at least a 24" cable. If any one knows where or of someone who I could contact please give...

Re: Speeding ticket. Well what's all this then?

Graham, Do do you think the £35 charge on the credit card from the rental agency might be it then? It's a major chain and I did sign all papers I'm responsible for my "actions". Still waiting for follow up papers. It's over a month and a half now. If that's all there is then,I'm good with ...

Re: Speeding ticket. Well what's all this then?

Thanks for all the insight everyone. Interesting to see how the different countries operate. Yes Keith, put the rental on the credit card. There was a £35 admin cost noted on the letter. Will await Cumbria's official word:) I feel like I should have gone faster to justify the paperwork:) Have a good...

Re: Speeding ticket. Well what's all this then?

Thanks for the info everyone. No I don't have a UK license, just US issue. It was a camera that nabbed me, wasn't pulled over. Ok ,will await ticket in post. 5mph, No wiggle room from the camera cops. Speeding ticket. Well what's all this then?

Hi all, Question. The nice constables in Cumbria have notified the car rental facility that I was speeding. Allegedly doing 35mph in a 30mph zone. Fair enough. The rental sent me notification that ticket will be sent directly to me maybe at reduced rate per council? Any experience in this. What migh...

Re: Any one have an ideas on how to fix this?

Sorry wrong list, horn ring listed @ $32.50. I realize it's a 356. Just saw the similarities. Fingers crossed it could be an economical solution. Till its properly mended. Here's where I found it: www.airheadparts.com/vintage-VW-parts/horn-ring Would be great if it turns out to be same fitment. Goodl...
