Re: 1968 RHD 911L

It’s been really bugging me, where I had seen it before Trawling through the old pictures of Classic Le Mans 2014, and knew I had seen it there! At that time it still had fibre glass front wings, (with horn grills stuck on) and I think fibre glass rear wings, as well as a roll cage in it. It was par...

Re: 1968 RHD 911L

Looks like they may be stuck on from the pictures on Car and Classic, but only an inspection is going to reveal if they have been changed or not? Does look nice though http://www.classicandsportscar.com/classifieds/classic-cars/porsche/911-pre-89/early-porsche-911l-rare-uk-rhd-matching-numbers-car/4...

Re: Chrome bulbs

It is not chrome glass, is where your filament has blown inside, and the red hot metal has coated the inside of the glass bulb, that's how you know it is U/S
No such thing as a chrome bulb

Re: 1970 E sporto in orange

I had pictures sent, and there is no VIN plate on the front trunk area, although chassis number was supplied
Looks to be 9110200366 in the picture, and an engine number of 820821.
Was told you can get another VIN plate through AFN if I was particular about needing one on it???

Re: Early aluminium case 911/912 5 speed g/box - fully rebui

Andrew being trying to sort this out. My box is 902/05 one year only and has a 4 bolt fitment to the CV's both inboard and outboard. Looking at your box, it has the 6 bolt Lobro flanges. Apparently to change the flanges over is a PITA, not to mention you would also have to do the wheel side, which i...
