Trying to find VRN for a Porsche project I'm looking to buy
I am looking at buying a 993 'project' car and the only information I have is the VIN.
Is there anyway of finding out the VRN with just this, so that I can apply to the DVLA for a V5C?
Thanks.

Great photos, I was gutted that I could not be there with you guys!
I was thinking about you guys enjoying the sun, whilst I was at a 2 Year Old Birthday party in a soft play! #veryhotandsweaty
How many 912s did you get this year?

356 Cylinder Heads up for swap...
I believe that these are a matched set of 356 Late "A" / Early "B' Heads.
Photos here:

The CC stamps both indicate 58,0 so is appears that they are un-cut.
Ideally I would like to swap these for a matched set of 912 heads.
Thanks.

One Blackened one not?!? - 912 Cylinder Heads
I am trying to see if this is from the factory 'normal' or if the engine has had a replacement head fitted? Upon striping down a Porsche 912 engine I noticed that one is Blackened and one is the normal alloy. The part numbers are both the same 616.104.301.02 Photos here: https://goo.gl/photos/mi8k5k...

Re: Porsche 912 - Engine tapping noise, what could it be?
Nige, i'm pretty confidant it's from the engine as I've ran with 2 different transmissions (4-speed & 5-speed) and the noise is there with both.
Cubist & Winston Teague, i'll check my flange gasket. I'm not sure why i find the word flange funny
Neil, i've got 28 degrees at 3500+ RPM...

Re: Porsche 912 - Engine tapping noise, what could it be?
Hi Neil,
It only occurs when the engine is under load during acceleration.
I can rev the engine without a problem whist the car is stationary. During declaration I get a slight burble/backfire (which I think is normal?).

Porsche 912 - Engine tapping noise, what could it be?
Hello, I am trying to get to the bottom of what this noise could be? https://youtu.be/gEYKqjbyPMw You can hear it between 0:10sec - 0:14sec. My Porsche 912 runs great except it has this 'tapping' noise during acceleration whilst under load. I've checked the compression, timing (28degrees @ 3500RPM),...

Porsche 356 Cylinder Heads
Hi, I am in the process of rebuilding a 912 engine and the cylinder heads that were supplied with the engine are weirdly off an early 356 A/B. Therefore I have 2 x 356 cylinder heads in used but good order with no cracks which I would like to swap for 2 x 912 heads. If anybody can help out that woul...
