Re: door seal
Interesting to see this discussion too, as the seals were replaced recently on my car as part of recent work and also now have wind noise! The car originally had seals about 2 inches long glued to the door at the frame to door junction, so stuck some back as a temp measure which cut it down. Jon (wh...

Re: COA and wheels question
Hi Simon, Yes, my plans on car reduction have not worked out too good! Saying that, I will have to let some cars go in the New Year... still working overseas and no time to enjoy or work on any of them! Hope you start a restoration thread on the targa when you do it, it will be a cracking car when f...

Re: Goodwood Revival Sat & Sun tickets
Sold to Nick.
Have fun and wish I was going.
Will put the period outfit back in the wardrobe, handy thing is that it will not go any more out of style, as it has been out for 40 years!

Re: Fuel Pump for 1973 with MFI
I have the Allzim pump fitted to my 911E after the original pump failed. seemed to be OK, but then had idling troubles with the car and also cutting out when warm and driving for no reason and would restart after leaving it for 5 mins and go about 5 miles and do again. Now the car is with Jon Miller...

Re: RHD Olive T in Scotland
I see that this 911 sold for 15,395 pounds...
Suppose the RHD and the olive colour adds value. but would have thought the sportomatic would have detracted. Good luck to whoever bought it and hopefully shows up on DDK as a resto thread!

Re: 912 sound insulation
Mine is a Karmenn shell too, so looks like that is not the answer Jamie. Maybe this extra stuff on the floors and pans is a dealer fit? My shell is ex USA, from the mid west with no a/c or sunroof, so maybe they would fit this in colder states? BTW, I have always wondered why the 912 has sound deadn...

Re: 912 sound insulation
strange that some have it and some do not. wonder does extra sound proofing show up as an option code for 912's from the factory.

Re: 1972 Simca 1501 Estate
Thanks John, was not going to bother getting another Simca, as I do not need the first one either, but then said why not. The drive home could be fun. it turned out to be a very civilsed car to drive and kept up easily with traffic on the motorway. liked to cruise at 65 mph... i was suprised how muc...
