Fuch alloys

I have a 1972 911 with massive wheels 295 x 15 arches to match.
I am going to chop the arches to a sensible size but I would like the widest possible Fuch alloys.

1972 911 rear wings wanted

My Excutive boss (wife) has suggested that I do away with the Carlos Fandango rear arches and fit the standard ones. I would like slightly wider ones and some decent looking wheels to match. They have been chopped about 4" above the arch and nearly horizontal arches bonded on. The front has bee...

Re: 1972 T Targa is it worth restoring

I have restored a "few" cars.

What I now need is a front end including wings, bonnet, lights and bumper. Rear wings or arches as mine were cut just where they start to flare out. And a set of Fuch alloys.

Re: I want to buy a newer model type 911

I am after advice on air/water cooled from people with experience in owning one. Not selling-I would have mentioned that. Not changing, just adding. What am I missing? You tell me. I have never owned or driven another Porche. I love the driving feel of my 911. My wife has a diesel cabriolet Beetle. ...

I want to buy a newer model type 911

I have about £15,000, possibly more to spend on a newer type 911. I have 1972 Targa but I would like to try an updated one before I get too old?

Any suggestions?

Re: 1972 T Targa is it worth restoring

It's on the road and pretty free of rust. Last time I tried uploading photos on this forum I wasted too many days of my life instead of being under my car :) I'll try finding the 'Upload photo' button tomorrow.

1972 T Targa is it worth restoring

My Porker has huuuge rear arches, side skirts and a German Flatnose front end. The engine is a 2.7 having been rebuilt about 300 miles ago by Mike Bainbridge. To put it back as near to original it will need rear arches /wings, front wings, bonnet, lights chrome work etc. Is it really worth spending ...

Re: Wobbly flag type mirrors

As mine was rattling away I undid the alen key that holds the mirror to the door to find that the wires were the only thing holding the mirror to the base. There is a tube with a threaded portin at one end which attaches to the mirror. This portion with the wire running through the centre passes thr...

How to stop 911 engine drone?

I love the sound of engines especially the exhaust notes of six plus cylinders. Being non Turbo (which most modern cars have fitted) where some of the noise is converted by the Turbine to power the Compressor, my machine has that horrible drone from the Standard exhaust. I partially cured this on my...

Re: 1972-911 Moving the gear stick

Thanks guys. Moving the linkage where it passes through the rear only changes the angle of the lever from the same position in the floor which I have done. Those that have cut/ bent/extended theirs, could you give me more details please as I was thinking that was my option. Think the Germans where s...

Re: 911 E fuel pump 1972

Bruce-I do not know which pump it is but is a high pressure. The return from the carb is the simplest and logical way to return the fuel to cool the pump if it is needed and keep a flow to the carbs at the same time. I have read somewhere that there is a return needed on one of the pumps.Top of the ...
