Re: Best engine stand that won't buckle or fall over
I've had my engine out a lot of times, and have used the Yoke (relieved) and also adapted the face place as your pictures too. I don't use the yoke anymore. Graham, out of curiosity, why don't you use the yoke any more? I ask because I have a stand, but haven't yet bought a yoke ……. Goodtogo, if yo...

Best engine stand that won't buckle or fall over
Guys, I'm looking to purchase an engine stand for a 1971 911 engine and would welcome any feedback from anyone who has a stand and can reccommend it. Don't think I need to buy the Porsche 'yoke' thingy to fasten to a stand, so I'm looking on ebay at stands from £40 to £90. The £90 stand looks quite ...

550hp v8 in a 1970 T 911
Basically an early turbo (running gear at least) bolted on to a 1970T. Powered by an all aluminium 'Dart' Short Block Chevy V8, putting out a reliable and linear (no turbo lag here) 550 hp & torques, through a short bell early 930 trans. The ultimate sleeper. Once in a lifetime opportunity to to...

Re: Weight of aluminium 2.0 engine case
RR911 Thanks for reply. I was considering bringing the case back 'air cargo' once I had inspected it and paid for it, hence the question re weight. As an aside, what might be your opinion on my following post... http://www.early911sregistry.org/forums/showthread.php?128565-Is-it-a-2-4-or-a-2-2/page3

Re: '87-89 3.2 G50 LHD pedal cluster assembly
You would have thought so Andy, but drawn a blank so far. I'm converting a 1971 cable operated clutch to hydraulic operation, so I may have to revert to plan B, Tilton pedal assembly (more likely cheaper as well!). https://www.competitionsupplies.com/tilton-pedal-assembly-600-series-3-pedal-floor-mo...

Hargett gear shifter
Hargett shifter for sale. Currently fitted to a short bell turbo transmission in a 1971 t 911. Its seems to be quite a mechanism with the idea of moving the gear lever forward and tightening up the gate, esp useful for racing? I am removing the whole shifter mechanism. It was installed by a previous...
