Re: WTB: 1965 911 ENGINE CASES #901959

Mike - Thanks for the help, I'll contact Mark, you never know !

Timo - Yes I saw those cases, one set was really early, but I didn't act quickly enough and when I contacted CST Classics, they were all sold. A dealer I expect.

WTB: 1965 911 ENGINE CASES #901959

I am looking for the original engine, or engine cases, for engine number 901959 for a 1965 911 vin number 301834.

I would have a complete 1997 engine in px for the complete '65 engine, or the 67 cases to px for the 65 cases.

Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Sean

May I ask how much you would like for your rear latch pin ? In the absence of any other knowledge I would like to give it a go.

SWB 911 Workshop manual and ignition switch

Does anyone have an original workshop maual for sale that will cover my 1968 911L ? Not worried if it has some old oil stains on it. I am also looking for an ignition switch & key, mine is non original and kaput and I am mindful of potential hot starting problems from reading other posts on DDK....

Re: Engine lid shutting parts/latch needed.

Hi Sean, Yes the latch pins do look identical to me, I wonder whether anyone can confirm ?

Nick, which way round does the u-shaped seal sit in the channel and should the bonnet sit down flush on the sides with the wings when fitted/adjusted properly ? (mine seems to sit up proud).

Many Thanks

Re: Engine lid shutting parts/latch needed.

Does anybody have another one of these 'pins' in the latch for sale ? The bonnet (hood?) on my 1968 911 does not close properley and looking at the 'pin' it is missing the metal cup slider part on the pin. The rubber seal around the bonnet closing channel seems to stick up proud, above the channel m...

The chap I purchased the Webers from also has a set of PMO manifolds to connect the carbs to the heads if you need them.
