For Sale 3.2 engine complete
I purchased this engine a month ago as insurance in case I couldn't get the V8 in my 77 911 running and cooling properly, but now I have, the engine is surplus to requirements. Purchased it from a specialist salvage yard who were breaking a complete car (84 I think) that had been rolled and written ...

Re: Rear ride height adjustment spanner
Thanks for the ideas guys. I read somewhere that the rear spring plate adjuster was set when the car left the factory so that it could be adjusted to raise the rear car height, but not lower it. To lower it you had to re index the torsion bar splines, so I want to see how much height adjustment I've...

Re: 3.2 carrera engine
Hi Hillclimber.
This is what I've currently got in the back of my '76 and boy, does it make some torque !
Only problem is you also need this in the front to keep it all cool !

Re: 3.2 carrera engine
I bought the engine complete, with the ECU and loom and oil system (tank, pipes and rad). Didn't know you could convert it to Webbers, I guess you'd need to change the cam ? Does the Webber conversion increase horse power / tractability or just simplify the induction system ?

Re: 3.2 carrera engine
Great, thanks for the offer of advice. I'll see how I get on with selling the chevy motor and if I go ahead, I'll start a new thread so as not to highjack this one.
Biggles, if I sell the whole car, my 3.2 may be available if your still looking. Tim

Re: 3.2 carrera engine
Hillclimber I see from your cars that you have a 3.2 '73. I bought the 3.2 engine off ebay that you noted and am planning to install it myself in my '77 that currently has a Chevy v8 stroker, once I have sold the chevy engine. Did you convert your '73 to the 3.2 yourself ? I have had a look through ...

WTB - Engine lid to fit a 1977 911.
I have the original lid that has had the grill opening enlarged to take a GRP tea tray spoiler (plus the spoiler) to P.Ex if wanted.
Thanks
Tim

For sale my 1997 911s that I imported from California last year as a project to tinker with over the long summer evenings. This is a genuine Californian car all its life and it is totally and absolutely rust free. It has a stroked Chevy 383 engine in the back and the car could either remain on this ...

Mike
Thanks for the info. My cases/engine is out there somewhere, the question is, where ?
Pardon my ignorance, but what is the significance of the early engines being described as 'long block' by some ?
