Engine numbers

Dave

Engine serial number - 909772 Type 901/05 Build number 6394

Does the number stamped on the engine lid match the range of vin numbers for the engine ?

Re: HELP ! Trisll Sports Cars have sold me a vin switch

By way of an update, the original thread on 'the Bird' was taken down, so that's why the link in the first post on this thread now no longer works. However, it is now back up in a slightly revised format and for people who have too much time on their hands (me included, although I do have my own par...

Re: HELP ! Trisll Sports Cars have sold me a vin switch

Guys, davep - Thanks for checking Bert - Interesting possibilities you list. I am gathering some useful information on the early stages of each car's life at the moment and will post an update when its all in. In the meantime here are the two original Kardex's for the cars and a VERY INTERESTING lic...

Re: HELP ! Trisll Sports Cars have sold me a vin switch

Selling a stolen car = no further discussion needed from a litigation point of view. The thing is, I love ...

Re: HELP ! Trisll Sports Cars have sold me a vin switch

whilst agreeing with Mike & Mark etc ... I do see the issue here is more than just some dodgy work . At the moment surely there is a big question mark over the car's identity ? Potentially an un-sellable car until correct identity is established and verified ? If the shell is a genuine '67S , t...

Re: HELP ! Trisll Sports Cars have sold me a vin switch

Mike From a pragmatic perspective that is sage advice. However from the heart and wallet perspective.............. I have been reasonable, more than reasonable, throughout this sorry saga and tried to agree a deal with the dealer, where they paid me SOME compensation and I would have happily kept th...

Re: HELP ! Trisll Sports Cars have sold me a vin switch

Now it's down to how big your wallet is for the legal fees..... Mike That is the crux of the problem that you have identified and that is what I am deliberating on ! I also spent a lot of time thinking about should I just flip the car on. If you think about it there were apparently a whole load of ...

HELP ! Trisll Sports Cars have sold me a vin switch

A sorry story here I'm afraid. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-marketplace-discussion/900146-help-trissl-sportscars-have-sold-me-vin-switch.html I have posted this on the bird as a central thread, looking for advice on what my rights are, if any, and whether anyone else has experience in this...
